Introduction
This team was inspired by me stumbling upon the amazing Pokemon called Snorlax. I enjoyed Ruby, and Safire sprites, and I like it more than I do BW. I prefer it, becuase it has a larger base of OU Pokemon, and loads more attacks. It also allows my great friend Blaziken. I enjoy making older teams, and thought that this team would be the better one to put into an RMT for you all to rip apart and tear my soul apart to critique.

A closer look

Gale (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 188 HP / 160 Atk / 160 SAtk
Bold Nature (-Atk +Def)
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Agility

Use: Metagross is a good lead, because it has the ability to set up fast . When it uses that, Agility comes in, to increase its speed, and just annoy the crap out of people. He quickly uses Agility to also increase speed to allow him to successfully destroy with earthquake. He then has Meteor Mash for STAB. He is a sucsseful lead with this team. Therefore he is my lead.

243.gif

Slayer (Raikou) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Use: Raikou just dominates. He uses CM to raise SPA, and SPD. Then he uses his attacks, and just flattens. His only issue is his health. He gets KO'd by almost every physical attack. And everything in between. I prefer him to come in on a meekly water type.

143.gif

Dafty (Snorlax) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 144 HP / 68 Def / 132 SDef / 164 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Firepunch
- Body Slam
- Earthquake

Use: I use Snorlax as a wall. I will not get rid of him, because this team is centered around a Boomlax version. He quickly sets up, and walls. Originally he had explosion, but that was the most noobiest move, and the most worthless move. so I replaced it with Flame thrower.

350.gif

Peachy (Milotic) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Hypnosis
- Recover
- Ice Beam

Use: Well, Milotic helps counter all of the weaknesses that Snorlax has. She uses hypnosis, to put you to sleep, (unless you're Peachy) then he uses attacks and dominates the metagame. (not really) She still is effective on the team.

242.gif

Afro-G (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Hardy Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Softboiled
- Flamethrower
- Toxic
Use: Blissey runs around my team walling. She is a mini Snorlax. She abuses Softboiled, and then just counters the whole world. She quicky walls the whole world, and just sits around. I enjoy abusing her, and just making people extremely annoyed with it. I have battled one just like this, and forced a tie >.<! I can just wall until nothing effects me, and then just win.

257.gif

CMP (Blaziken) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 80 HP / 232 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sky Uppercut
- Rock Slide
- Overheat

Use: I use Blaziken because he's cool because he can counter Celebi better than most of my other guys. He swords himself up, and then Uppercuts the opponent, or Rock Slides them to KO them. His EV's are optimal for keeping his attack very high. Very quickly he sets up, and can get rid of the annoying Celebi. I prefer him above the other Fire types, because his attack is perfect.

*Coming soon*

Conclusion
I want to thank everybody on Pokebeach for providing a healthy community in which I can develop my competitive battling skills. Special thanks to Peachy (Bippa) who got me into competitive battling, and helped my skill a ton.

If you want to sweep with Metagross, you will want an Adamant nature so you don't lose Speed. Even without the additonal Speed a Jolly nature will provide, Adamant works better in this situation because there isn't anything major you'd be outrunning by running Jolly Nature. I think you mean 160 EVs in Speed instead of Special Attack.

Raikou I would suggest Hidden Power Ice instead because then you can do neutral damage to all Pokemon.

Snorlax you should run FirePunch instead of Flamethrower because Snorlax's Special Attack is low while its physical attack is much higher. The 20 difference in power is made up for by the amount of the attacking stat difference.

Blissey I'd recommend a Bold Nature because it shouldn't have physical attacks anyway. Replace Earthquake with Toxic so you can cripple teams. Brick Break could change to something more useful such as Aroma Therapy to heal your team of status conditions.

Let's see what I can do.

Gale (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 188 HP / 160 Atk / 160 SAtk
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Rock Slide
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Agility
I really encourage you to use Explosion instead of Rock Slide. Rock Slide only hits a small select field of Pokemon (being Flying types, a rarity in ADV OU), while Explosion hits all of them, and this is when it still has the effect of halving Defenses. The Brave nature is redundant with Agility, and why run Special Attack EVs when you have no Special attacking moves? Change your EV spread to 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe with an Adamant nature for the best results.

243.gif

Slayer (Raikou) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs:
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Electric]
First of all, you don't have any EVs. Second of all, why Hidden Power [Electric] when you have Thunderbolt. Change the Hidden Power type to either Grass (to hit Swampert) or Ice (to hit Dragonite and Celebi). For your EV spread, use this 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe.

143.gif

Dafty (Snorlax) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 144 HP / 68 Def / 132 SDef / 164 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Flamethrower
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
You say this is BoomLax, but you lack the ability to go boom. What? Either replace Flamethrower for SelfDestruct, or go with an entirely different kind of Snorlax.

350.gif

Peachy (Milotic) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Hypnosis
- Recover
- Ice Beam
This is good. Very nice.

242.gif

Afro-G (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs:
Hardy Nature
- Growl
- Softboiled
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
This set, just...why? No EVs... Hardy Nature doesn't even do anything to help Blissey's awful defense. Blissey needs a Bold Nature, and she needs it now! Replace Brick Break for Seismic Toss, because it will always outdamage Brick Break when Blissey uses it. Earthquake also needs to be swapped for either Ice Beam or Thunder Wave, pronto, preferably Thunder Wave. Finally, Growl needs to be replaced for Aromatherapy, because the support from Aromatherapy will be much greater than that of Growl. This is the standard EV spread, so I suggest that you use it: 204 HP / 252 Def / 52 SpA.

257.gif

CMP (Blaziken) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 80 HP / 232 Atk / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Sky Uppercut
- Rock Slide
- Overheat
This isn't bad at all. Nice.

Good luck Gatr. There are lots of things that need to be done.

@King Arceus: This is a Gen. 3 team, so Fire Punch is a special attack.

Ummmm Peachy...

I kinda edit ninja'd you :p so, thanks for the replies, and I'll think about having boomlax go boom.

RMT Rules said:
- You must include at least a 6+ sentence description on each Pokemon. EV's, moves, and strategy should all be explained. (Scroll down to see what counts as a sentence.)

I spose I'll take time to critique this, for your benefit, MrGatr, as it is obvious you need to improve. I cannot say I play much ADV, though.

1. Why does Metagross have Rock Slide? It already has Earthquake and the only flyers I can think of that Meteor Mash doesn't hit neutrally is Skarmory, Moltres, and Zapdos. Secondly, why a Bold nature? Run Adamant (+Atk, -SpA), there's absolutely no need to lower Metagross's Defense when it doesn't use Special Attacks.

2. You say Raikou dominates, then go on to say he is destroyed by Physical Attacks... First of all, Raikou's Defense is not that bad, in fact, it is pretty decent. He should be able to take neutral and resisted hits.

3. Okay, first off in Gen 3 the suicide moves (Selfdestruct and Explosion) are extremely powerful (they half the opponent's Defense), plus Snorlax gets STAB from Selfdestruct. Also, does it say Fire Punch in the set but Flamethrower in the description?

4. I don't see anything wrong with Milotic. Seems solid. Good job on this one. Though the description is sub-par.

5. The attacks on Blissey make no sense at all. Blissey can do no tangible damage with Physical Attacks. And Growl? What?! Use Seismic Toss/Softboiled or Wish/ Toxic/Protect.

6. Your description here tells me nothing of his function on the team. EVs and moveset seem fine, though.

In the future I suggest reading the RMT Guidelines, it would help both you and the raters alike.

EDIT: You logic behind liking ADV more than BW is flawed. BW has more moves and Pokemon than ADV, therefore it is impossible that ADV has more moves and more OU Pokemon.

Hey I'm no Competitive Battling Expert but if Raikou is as frail as you claim,
would a Life Orb be a better option?
To deal out loads of damage fast because if he's going to go down so easily he may as well leave a big dent in the opponent's pokemon?

This is an Adv team, which means only Pokemon, moves, and items from generations 1, 2, and 3 may be used. This means really the only competitive items are Leftovers, Choice Band, and maybe the pinch berries. Just about everything else came from gen 4 (Choice Specs, Chocie Scarf, Life Orb, even gimmicky items like Light Clay and the weather rocks were all from Gen 4).

Raikou is frail, but it's only to physical attackers. Adv is full of special attackers, which kinda makes him a good option.

*updated the team*

Your team has no way at dealing with Dragon Dance Gyarados, Dragonite and Salamence, which are three HUGE threats in ADV.

Because they most of their sweeping with HP Flying, Zapdos will be the best bet with its Baton Pass set. With Thunderbolt for Gyarados and HP Ice for the Dragons, Zapdos will easily stop these problem Pokemon. Here's the set:

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 HP / 108 SpA / 148 Spe
-Agility
-Baton Pass
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice

He should go over Blissey, because Blissey, being the "mini-Snorlax", is the easiest member to replace. Or if you want, you can replace Raikou with Zapdos.

I tested Zapdoes, and he doesn't work that well with the team. Or it's just me...

Any other advice?
