Lol I am going to try this by starting with a Lvl.X and trying to go down to a Magikarp.

This is what everyone should try to do; quickest cheap way to get a great card.
 
well its not a quick way at all, but I guess what they say is true, good things come to those who wait :D
 
I do have an impossible need of a Uxie Lv.X... I'll start with... a Vulpix UL, because it is the first card I picked out of a pile of commons.

Well didn't you get the idea from a person who already did this...? But nah man yeah I probably wasn't really gonna do it that would just be lame copying you.
 
I wonder if this might actually work with TCG. I'm going to try, but not post about it, so that I don't take "your" idea away. =]

Correction he started with a fighting energy and it is now a Gengar Lv.X. I was the one who gave him the idea, it is a great idea and works well.
 
someone did this in yugioh and ended up with several hundred dollars in trade value at the end of the day.
 
I traded a {F} energy to a gengar X in a week. with help, cuz my friend was doing it too.

energy > sucky bronzong > slightly better rare (I forget what) > nidoqueen RR > power spray > arceus X > infernape X > gengar X

it works. I think I'll do it again since I recently lost my gardevoir X.

Start over with a crappy common, other than Wurmple.
