Pokemon Original and/or Creative Evolution Methods

I just thought-up a really interesting concept for Pokemon evolution, and I thought I'd start a thread for exactly that sort of topic! Anyway, mine just popped right into my head:

Imagine you just found a wild Pokemon (a rare Bug-type), and you weakened it with one of your own Pokemon. You threw a Net Ball at it and caught it, then gave it a nickname. Then...what?! Your new Pokemon just evolved! That's my idea, Pokemon that evolve once caught with a certain kind of Poke Ball! Imagine a Water-type that evolves once caught with a Dive Ball; or a particularly slow Pokemon that evolves into a lightning-fast, high SPEED Pokemon when caught with a Fast Ball; or even a Fire-type Pokemon that develops a natural, metallic suit of armour when caught with a Forge Ball, becoming a Fire-Steel-type hybrid!

Has anybody else thought-up new and interesting ways for Pokemon to evolve much different than we are used to now? Feel free to post them here! InfiniteDitto out!
 
I always wanted a Pokemon that evolves after fainting a certain amount of times (EX: My Fakeon; Spireon), or one that evolves depending on the starter you pick: fire if you pick water, grass if you pick fire, and water if you pick grass. Maybe some that evolve with a form of Pokewalker. Like how we had Spiritomb, have to walk 50,000 or so steps to get it to evolve. I think that would be cool. XD
I like the pokeball one. That would be interesting.
 
Despite he fact that I think unique evolutions are getting bit....out of hand, I always thought it would be cool to have grimer evolve when it gets poisoned during a match.

It's odd, I know...
 
I was kind of hoping for something like my fakemon Domydra, which cycles back and forth through both four different evolved forms and its first stage every ten levels, and then can further evolve into a final form if all of its other evos and two of its basic form are in your party when one of them levels up. But, doing so causes all of the other Pokemon to disappear because they've fused into one. I imagined something like that with Magnemite evolving into Magneton or Diglett into Dugtrio if you had three of each of the respective pre-evos when you got one or all of them up to Level 30. But, I guess that's more work that Game Freak wanted players to do just to get a certain Pokemon...
 
Lol what if you caught it with a different pokeball? You'd never be able to evolve it and you'd have to go find another one of these rare bugs to complete your dex :{
 
i thought of what if inorder to get a pokemon to evolve, you had to get it to dislike you enough, then all the happy evolvers could have unhappy counterparts
