Ok dose anybody have a myth about when they buy there packs to get better cards like i have one i never pick the 1st pack showing. If you have a pack myth please share if you want to.

Well in prereleases it seems that the good players at pokemon get the really good cards while the somewhat ok players like me get mainly worthless cards.

Not true Toixicroak pulled Toxicroak today.

But here is one Nidorina MT stalks me in all my packs.
And packs that feature Latias on it always end up giving me an EX or early Rev.Holo

lol my friends brothers is good luck he pulled 3 exs out of 10 packs and 6 holo rares and 1 normal rare.

There is no pattern to booster packs, from what I understand. If there was a pattern, it would be unfair for the people buying the packs, as the store owners could just remove the packs that have the holos / Lv. X's for themselves and sell the rest of the booster packs. Think about it from a business perspective.

i remember at 1 CC a guy said that some packs feel differnt then otheres and he got one pack and got an ex!

I don't know about Pokemon, but in Yu-Gi-Oh the third pack down on the left side of the box always has an ultra-rare.

Yeah if a pack feels like it has a dent in it it has a holo, it's true trust me.

Actually there is kind of a pattern. For example, most ex sets have at least one ex per each 12 packs (except sets like holon phantoms) unless there is a star card in the box the booster came from. However, there is no 100% fool-proof way of telling the EXACT pack it will be in.
I do not really believe in any of this but I find you have more luck if you pick a booster from the pile on the left side in an opened box. Some people find that the thinner boosters have the good cards in (the packs vary in width slightly if you look at the sides). Although it is all rumours. The worst pack myth is that the picture on the front affects your chances.
By the way, I would not do a bend test on boosters. I tried it recently and damaged the booster (I accidently did it too hard) and the shop keeper got angry. So I had to buy it and the cards were rubbish.

I always try to buy those sets where you you get 3 packs & 1 promo. I always get batter cards in those:D.

Some people say that it is easier to get a rare in the middle of a box, but it is all nonsense, there is no way to tell what packs have what cards.

I usually pick the packs on the bottom of a Display box and 80% of the time I get good cards but not the best of the best cards.:)

Err, this may not make any sense, at all but, a good pokemon picture, get's you good stuff. I pulled a TSD from a Garchomp pack.

That could explain why the Yu-Gi-Oh players that go to the card store where I play Pokemon never get any ultra-rares. :F

Here is a pack myth for you. Reverse Holo Mew from Legend Maker is more common that it's normal version. My evidence? 6 Legend Maker Mews and they have all be reverse foil.

Here is a truth,
During the HL-LM era, all packs that were hard(or hard to bend) always have rev. Holos, ex, or Stars.
However, when PUSA noticed this, they started to make the common rev. cards very hard.
