Right now, I think the new Huntail card has some potential. Right now I am expecting an XY - On format. For a Huntail deck, I found two good ways of energy acceleration: Excadrill PLC, and Gorbyess PLC. 1 to 2 Gorbyess PLC is a must, but do you think Excadrill would have some potential?
 
I'm actually planning a Huntail/Whiscash deck, so you can use Alpha Growth to load up Whiscash and power up Huntail's attack at the same time. I'l still trying to gather up the cards, but I think it's a fun deck. Not Tier 1 for sure, but it's strong.

Well, yeah, but you can still play Keldeo and Float Stone(s) if you're worried about that.

Right now, I'm thinking about an XY-On format. Any recommendations for that?
 
Mega Manectric-EX? Huntail handles Landorus-EX and his ilk easily. Maybe Mr. Mime to prevent Clamperl from being sniped.
 
Landorus and Mime won't be on XY-On. And even though, something that accelerates like Manectric would be a waste if you don't have something else than Huntail to charge. Maybe some Water/Fire deck to use Blacksmith onto something like a Charizard could work, specially to counter Huntail's weakness.
 
I think that would work well. Right now, my thoughts are:
4-3 Huntail
2 Gorbyess
1 Charizard EX
2-2 Pyroar
3 Blacksmith

I think it could work really well, thanks for the idea.
 
I'm still going to argue that Huntail is a fantastic tech for Fairies and will keep saying this until a better combination comes along.
