Macs are wayyyyy better and besides who would want to spend hours on something only to have your computer crash and have it deleted.

That is what happened, when I first used an Apple.

You are not presenting arguments, here. I am a Mac user, but I will go over some pros and cons of each.

Mac:
Macs do not get viruses. EVER. There is no known virus for the Mac. Keep in mind that trojans, by definition, are not viruses. Also, they are easier to use, although it takes a while to learn if you were a long-time PC user. PC make me feel stupid, and I can do lots on my Mac. They just make sense.

PC:
These things are great for gaming... uhh.. anything else? The only reason I would go with a PC is for the wide range of software available.

PC's used to be better than Macs, in my opinion. However, after people started developing for the Mac more, they became much better. Other than gaming, come up with some things PC's can do that Macs can't. I've had my Mac for over a year now, and I have had to force shut-down about twice. That happens about twice a day on my PC. I'm sure I will be making a lot more posts in this thread.

We have 1 person posting here for PC's, yet they're winning the poll. -_- Phail.

I think Macs are better because...well... I'm on one right now. :]

I'm considering saving up for a laptop this summer and definitely want to get a Macbook.

However, even their low-end models are ridiculously expensive compared to PCs I could get of the same quality. I'm a bit divided on the issue. Somebody convince me why I should spend the extra $500 on a mac.

You have twice a day shutdown on your PC. What were you doing?

Well, I was exaggerating, of course. However, our computer has serious problems, but whenever we take it to a techy, he says "Nothing wrong". Macs are easier to use.

Bam, the "extra 500" is well worth it. You'll be spending $50 on antivirus software, and you get iLife with every Mac. I got a Mac because of the interface, mainly. I love the way it works.

Mac for the win.

I used to own Windows from 95 up to XP, but refused to get Vista because I was honestly getting sick of it. I decided to go with the more expensive, but WAY^999 better Mac OS X 10.5. I'm honestly loving it. It's faster, better, safer, user friendlier, and just anything else you might want in a computer. I think my blood pressure must've halved after getting a mac.

If you need to run your Microsoft applications on your mac, there's one nifty program for this:

Most applications already have a mac counterpart, though.
