I know I'm forgetting many of my pet peeves, but here are the ones I remember at the moment:
- People who don't return their shopping carts to cart returns. People who leave them in a parking space, up on a curb somewhere, or (worst of all) right next to the return, but not in it. I don't care how far away you are, just return it.
- People who don't use their blinkers on their cars. It's worse if they get angry at you for not letting them in when they never signaled to get in.
- People who get angry at others for following the rules of the road. The most frequent case of this would be speeders who think people who are doing the posted speed limit are in the wrong, then cut around them and honk and flick them off, yell, etc.
- People who don't know what a yield sign is, or how to properly use one.
- People who grab the door someone else is holding open for them, then wave in others in the group inside as if they're holding the door open for everyone. (Person A holds door open for Person B. Person B grabs part of door and lets Person C through door first, as if they're holding the door open for Person C.) Sadly, it's happened to me many times. xP
- People who get really angry at video games. (Mostly one of my brothers and my dad.)
- People who litter.
- People who "check out" other people. That's just gross.
- People who bug me about "when I'll be getting a girlfriend" despite me saying I don't really care about things like that.
- People who pick on others for being different.
- People who tell me to smile / be happy despite not knowing me at all / not having the faintest clue how I feel at the moment. (I have a perpetual frown, so while I may look upset, I'm often neutral or happy. People just like to speak out about how others should feel, I guess?)
- Almost everything my sister does. Basically:
> Talking about topics you have no clue about like you understand them.
> Loving to hear yourself talk. (Talking just to talk, not having anything meaningful to say.)
> Being lazy when it comes to the simplest of tasks.
> Constantly lying.
> Being overly loud in situations that require an "inside voice" at most. (She yells whenever she speaks to someone over the phone. Her phone doesn't have a volume issue, either.)
> Not using one's head as often as one should.
I'm not a huge fan of people who break the law, do drugs, swear, or drink in excess, but I'm not really sure that can be considered a pet peeve.
