On that thought, make sure to choose something that's not Zekeels or Empoleon, then change decks 5 minutes before the tournament starts. It worked for you before :p.

Funny you mention Empoleon as I'm running a 2-2-2 Empoleon in my deck (keep in mind, I don't own ANY Rare Candies)

why not try Hammertime or garbo/terrakion then? Hammertime can get a T2 night spear more often than not while garbo can effectively lock out abilities while hitting for 90 and popular weaknesses.

Also is anyone staying at the Sheraton this weekend? I'll be there if you want to find me (not until Saturday evening though)

I am staying at the Sheraton on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. I'll be wearing a charmander hat.

My guess is that you can get them at the Pokemon Store or online, for me, I got my Giratina Cap as a Door Prize :)

@TPM Reminding you that if you cut, you may have tournament matches on Sunday.

Anyway, I might be there Sunday morning, not sure yet. If I cut I'll definitely be there, but what are the chances of that lol?
 
exactly why I'll be there on Sunday morning :p lol. Anyways, to make it into day 2 I believe you have to top cut AND make it past top 32 (depending on weather or not they get the Swiss rounds done in time)

Try Terraeels; you said yourself that Eels and Garchomp would be the meta, and that Terraeels was a strong play. What about the Terrakion/Mewtwo deck that you did well in BRs with though?
 
Arriving to tonight and staying at the Hampton inn since its the closest hotel to the entrance nearest the terrace ballroom. Anyone else staying there? I'm mainly playing for fun but it would be cool to trade, practice and shoot the breeze beforehand.

Me too, but I'll be leaving at around 7am as it'll take me around 15-30 mins. to get to the Convention Center :)
