yeah, i made it myself. completely from scratch.

the convention i went to was all anime. its was fun, it was 3 days, and i stayed in a hotel for those 3 days. =D theres panels, cosplayers, and a lot of intresting shops there.

i wasnt to into panels, i really just wanted to walk around in my costume for 72 hours so people can point at me and say "OMG! its Charmander!" and then i get to say "Im Charizard Fool!"

lol :)

yay, thanks you =]
im not sure how i would do arceus, cuz he walks on 4 legs, you would have 2 dead legs following behind, lol, heh

the only other pokemon cosplay i made was palkia, its 6.5 feet tall. but its only 3/4 done, the entire frame is built, i just have no money to go buy fabric and stuff for it to make it look kewl

oh and what do u mean by how did i start? =P

Like If I wanted to make one, what's the process of making one from start to finish?

well charizards and palkias entire frame is made completely out of Cardboard =O

so step one would be to go to the back of a walmart and jack as many cardboard boxes as u can.

next u measure yourself to see how tall the cosplay is gonna be. i broke charizard into 2 parts, his head and body.

his body believe it or not is one piece. its like a cylinder that u throw over you and go inside.

and hmmm.... i really dont know how to say how i made mine. i never measured anything. not even when i cut the fabric. or the card boards to make the frame. i just eyed everything. i didnt even plan out anything really when i started working on it.

all i can say is make the best frame u can with card board.

and then u can go buy that fluffystuff (idk what its called) the stuff that goes into pillows i guess o_o and some fabric and a hot glue gun.

theres not a single part of charizard that i stiched. the hot glue gun is the way to go for me cuz i dont really know how to sow all that well.

and yeah, wow this post is getting pretty long.

so pretty much just >>
- build frame
- put fabric on and stuff parts of the body that need to be stuffed
- cheese it

d--(^.^)--b

sorry, idk if that was really helpful =|

Then how did you apply so much detail in shape to his head? To me. it looks very planned out.

And doesn't cardboard make it really hard to move?

well i went to art school when i was younger. and i drew a lot of dragons, so i automatically knew how to draw a frame of a dragons head.

heres a pic i made quickly. idk if itll help see how i made the frame
charizardy.png

for shaping the fabric i just glue down to cardboard on certain parts
char.png

red parts are glue and gray parts are fluff, the darker the gray the more u put there.

but i really didnt have this chart before or drew it out, i thought of it in my head and then made it. =P
