PJO The Lightning Thief

From what I heard, the storyline was completey messed up and didn't even come close to the book. It sounds okay though, just not the storyline.
I actually liked the movie, but a major downside was that they met the old man, he told them to go apologize to zeus 0,0
And not even 5 minutes later, they're on their way to hades.
Then, the "final" with hades takes 5 minutes, they go away and another 5 minutes and they are at mt. olympus, which isn't even a mountain!
The best part of the movie was definiteley that it had mythology.

And I think I'm going to read the book.

Overall I liked the movie, but it didn't really follow the book's plot. The book went a lot deeper into things, and had much more humor.

[BOOK AND MOVIE SPOILER ALERT]
I don't know if anybody's said this yet, but the whole thing.... if anybody's read the book, in the book, Ares is the lightning thief, yet in the movie, Ares isn't there at all. .-. Luke was the Lightning Thief, which really screwed things up.
No, ares wasn't realllllly the lightening theif, he was just the one who planted the blade on percy. That was irrelevent, what they screwed up was missing out kronos' whole part in the book, and that luke was working for Kronos. That actually MATTERS for the rest of the series.

That movie was so horrible! I read the whole series and I loved them, and when I saw the movie I got so mad! There is no possibility of them making a movie of the sea of monsters, as there is no Thalia's tree.

^Well I guess they could introduce it next film if they were to make one. The reason they didn't introduce any of the characters key to set up the rest of the series in movie 1 is so the story is self contained, i.e it is a finished story as it is, therefore if the film flopped they don't have to make any more.
