Overall a regular plasma deck, what annoys me is that it auto-loses to Pyroar. Suggestions?

If you're worried about an autoloss to Pyroar decks, what about a 2-2 Vaporeon PLF line. It's Gold Breaker attack does 30 to a non EX and 80 to an EX for [W][C]. With Gold Breaker on a Pyroar with a Deoxys EX out and a Muscle Band attached to your Vaporeon, you'll be one-shotting Pyroar left and right while also having a solid Landorus EX and Charizard EX counter.

Hope this helps,
LoneWolf2113

Or PF Glaceon is also another good option, plus its Ability reduces your TP Poke retreat cost by CC.

All Pyroar techs take away consistency from most other match-ups. You could use Drifblim, it's pretty good this format.

A friend of mine who went to Worlds this year runs a Plasma Kyurem deck without Pyroar techs, considering that there are only two Pyroar players around

How so (assuming you made appropriate deck changes to include, for example, a 2-2 Eeveelution line)? Also, "consistency" is a term used too frequently and has different meanings to different players; so, it would also be helpful if you clarify your meaning of consistency.

I too run a TP deck with Eeveelutions and have no "consistency" issues and feel it is quite competitive, but NOT great against all match-ups - no one deck is.

My list consists of the following:

4 Deoxys EX
3 Eevee (SoE)
1 Flareon (PF) (or Leafeon (PF))
1 Glaceon (PF) (or Vaporeon (PF))
2 Kyurem (PF)
1 Leafeon (PF)
1 Lugia EX
2 Thundurus EX

2 Bicycle
2 Colress
3 C Machine
1 C Search
2 Frozen City
2 Lysandre
4 N
2 Pokémon Fan Club
4 P Juniper
1 P Letter
2 Shadow Triad
1 Startling Megaphone
2 TP Ball
2 VS Seeker

2 DC
2 L
4 Plasma
2 P
3 Rainbow
2 W

I will sometimes tweak the Eeveelutions (except Leafeon - ALWAYS stays in) depending upon mood, tournament location, and "buzz" regarding he current top decks in the area.

Quite well. The deck has no "auto-losses," but a few decks (e.g., Night March and VirGenTric) can be hard match-ups.

Leafeon tends to be the "MVP" (most valuable Poké) of the deck since it can strike suddenly and inflict massive damage (given proper board settings). Opponents need to carefully manage their energy; otherwise Leafeon can KO big HP Poké.

If my sole Glaceon is prized, for example, the Pyroar match-up becomes more difficult after my opponent sets the Pyroars in play.

Lugia EX can simply be awesome at times by getting some early, "cheap" 2 prizes. Kyurem with its bench-sniping and hard-hitting attacks remains, IMO, one of the best attackers in the format.

I may need to incorporate an Absol just to deal with Gengar decks, but may not since I don't encounter them too often. Fortunately, there are lots of Yveltal decks be ing played in my area (perhaps everywhere... lol) that keep Gengar decks at a "minimum."

Still wish there was an F Eeveelution, as well as a current Surprise Time Machine in the game.

For the Pyroar match up I would play Plasma Umbreon its ability is +20 hp to all Plasma Pokemon and for 2 dark and 1 colourless it does 80 and with muscle band and if they attach an energy to pyroar while you have frozen city you wil OHKO

That's quite a lot of Energy attachments for a not quite OHKO. I feel like if anything, it's between Glaceon and Vaporeon, maybe with Leafeon as a good all around attacker.

Here are my suggestions:
-1 Moltres EX
-1 Keldeo EX
-1 Plasma Frigate
-2 Float Stone
-1 Muscle Band

+2 Eevee
+1 Leafeon PLF (Good against Seismitoad EX and can attack Pyroar)
+2 Glaceon PLF (You already run the water. Can OHKO Pyroar and give all team Plamsa Pokemon ** less retreat. (Free retreat for pretty much all plasma Pokemon)
+1 Switch

Personally, I'd add Latias EX. It can hit Pyroar but Pyroar can't hit back. If you want to get OHKO's on Pyroar I'd add a Team Plasma Badge so Latias get the Deoxys boost.

IMO, Latias EX just has too many serious disadvantages considering that LEX:

  • Has only 160 HP which makes it an easier 1HKO, 2-prize target;
  • Requires RPC energy to only inflict a measly 70 damage - just not a good return on energy investment;
  • Would require 3 separate, manual energy attachments of Rainbow, Rainbow, and [any] in this particular deck's case without changing the current energy configuration; and
  • Does not even 1HKO most serious threats.

Latias is bad in plasma. The best techs are eeveelotions (1 Leafon/1Vaporeon or Glaceon, I prefer Vaporeon/1 Espeon or Flareon, and trust me, Espeon's a beast)
