Run, its an epidemic!

[/sarcasm]

I know, Pokemon should be treated better.

-----------------------------------------------

So many Pikachus were sent to Iraq to fight, but none came back. You can help the pokemon by joining the army and saving the pikachus from extinction.

The only reason they treat it bad is because they haven't taken the time to really understand it. A great example, my dad would never take me to buy Pokemon cards, cause he thought I was spending $4.00 on something I was just collecting. But then I showed him a rulebook and sorta-kinda explained it and then he totally approved of it. For example, he just bought a Secret Wonders box for me off PokeCorner for Christmas!!

I tell all my friends that I Play Pokemon. They have no Idea that I have Emerald because I have not had the chance to tell them.:)

I wish I didn't care what others think. I'm pretty popular at my school, in a situation similar to Ryan "The Sea King"'s. Normally, I'd be proud that I like Pokemon, but there are really hot girls at my school, and I don't wanna give those up :p. I like my social status, me and my friends always do crazy stuff like throw ice at each other and run around my town climbing on roofs x_x. Being popular, I get a lot of fun privliges, and I don't want to give them up. Pokebeach is my outlit, where I can be myself (Corny alert =3). MY girlfriend is also popular, and it's not that she'd hate me, just a popular girl going out with a dork would screw her status up so bad! Basically, I want to tell people I like Pokemon, but that would put too much on the line and destroy me. Besides, even if some popular kids like it the others would push us out into social reject land x_x.

Also, my parents and siblings know I like it. I have 7 brothers and sisters, and all of them, old and young, like to tease me about it. It almost slipped when I brought my girlfriend for dinner (My pokemon stuff in a closet in my room) and my little brother said "RYAN! Can you tell us a story about pok-" broke off with a kick to the leg, my heart beating fast with fear x_x. Yeah, one of my younger brothers likes me to make up stories about Pokemon adventures x3

[/vent feelings]

EDIT: I never knew I could write 2 paragraphs about it <_<

wow thats like EXACTLY like me. Gosh im like right with you on every single thing you said. Im currently in a 6 year relationship with my girlfriend , and to this day she still doesn't know ....i think

wow so yea im exactly with shard79

^ Whoa what did you explain? I wanna know! :D

I just explained the basics of the game. How the Pokemon had attacks, how the Pokemon could attack only is they had the right energy amount, how trainers worked, how Pokemon got KOed, what the prizes were for, and how you win the game, basically.:)

P.S. He's kinda a pushover, I just tell him what I want for my Birthday/Christmas present and he gets it for me.

It must feel good to have a parent /parents that understand

SAME HERE!!!(Except for half of the strategy thing, he has some sort of strategy)

My sister is probably the only one out of all of my siblings that knows i like pokemon. On friday my freinds asked me if i liked pokemon right in front of a few kids, and i told them i used to even though i still like watching the show. What i noticed is that one of the kids that was watching actually liked pokemon, but just kept quiet. So like me,him and everyone else we keep it a secret.:(

My whole family knows about it and only 3 of my friends do. My parents don't understand the embarrasment of pokemon so whenever she is about to ay "would you like me to buy you pok-" I stop her and say soemthing like "Yes, pants with pockets, of course." It is just embarrassing, I don't know why, but it just is.

Funny, I never let my Mom talk about Pokemon in public.

I tell them not to talk about it in public, but do they remember all the time? No...But I always think fast and get ready when I am in a big crowd or small crowd, even people I don't know...I start to feel really weird if people starred at me with my pokemon cards. Well, it is ok at Hotels, but not in public.

(That paragraph had many run-on sentences and stuff, just a notice and I don't feel like going back and changing it)

Ah, a few of my friends know that I do, and they respect that. My 2 brothers do, and my parents, but I think they don't really know what it is, even after all these years XD.

As for school, I'm considered "too old" to be playing Pokemon. I get mocked constantly, but I just glare at whoever is talking, and most of the time they stop.

I envy you! I am really short for my age! I am one of the shortest people in my grade. If I was bigger I'd do the exact same thing, just glare. If only I was taller....evil genes!
