They've finally done it. Sony hardcore ripped off Nintendo's SSB series with All-Stars Battle Royale.

So far, only a few characters have been revealed.
- Sly, from the Sly Cooper series
- Kratos, from God of War
- Parappa from PaRappa the Rappa
- Fat Princess from Fat Princess
- Mael Radec from Killzone
- Sweet Tooth, from Twisted Metal.
And as a Metal Gear fan, I hope that they put in Snake or Raiden from MGS2/4, though the chances of Snake making a fighting appearance are low due to his fighting in Brawl.
Some players I'm hoping for are: - Ratchet and Clank
- Jak, from Jak and Daxter
- Daxter, from again, Jak and Daxter
- Crash Bandicoot
- Spyro
- Nathan Drake from Uncharted
- Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.

What is unique about this game is that the stages are created by a mash of two series, such as Sandover Village from Jak and Daxter, with Hot Shots Golf elements added. I think they should have a stage with Tomb Raider and Uncharted, together.

Though everybody else is gonna be like "OMG DIS GAME, IT SUCKZ, SSB RIPOF LOLOLOLOL", I'm actually quite interested. Remember all the speculation for characters in Brawl, and who people wanted? Guess what was on top of several peoples' lists? Characters like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. And did they make it into Brawl? They did not. Seeing them potentially fight it out in 1080p looks quite exciting.

I don't care if it's a complete ripoff of Smash Brothers, I don't care if the name sounds stupid. If it's a good game, I won't not play it. >_>

Looks pretty legit. People who baww about Crash or Spyro not making it into SSB either don't realize that Nintendo can't just add whoever they want on a whim (or that it costs $$$ to do that assuming they _do_ get permission) or are just anally ravaged.

If I pick up this game I am totally maining Parappa :>
 
I wonder if Sega will eventually make a game like this. You know, all the characters and favorites of their franchises, sans racing or tennis.

Nope, just a third party game developer. If they were owned by Nintendo, I don't think they'd really be allowed to publish games on other competing consoles like it's done in recent months.
 
I am more looking forward to Project X Zone for the next big crossover game rather than a Smash Bros. clone. And to be honest, whichever way you look at it, it's a Smash Bros. clone.

I'll stick with Melee and Brawl, if it gets a sequel, I'll take a look into it.
 
I'm not completely sold, but if Nathan Drake (or a Helghast Soldier LOL) become playable characters, then this will be up there with UMvC3. I look forward to more.
 
The game in spite of the blatant smash bros. controversy its received honestly looks like it has potential,people just need to give it a chance before judging it.If it does take ideas from Smash Bros. it may do it even better,anything is plausible really,its not completely set in stone.

(Heres hoping we get Lightning ^O^)

But yes,as PMJ so kindly said,Lighting is one of the protagonist of Final Fantasy 13 and she is perhaps amongst the most notable of Final Fantasy characters.For that reason (and her appearance in the initial trailer teaser),its possible that she may be a candidate for Playstation All-Stars,but one can only hope...
 
Oh, thanks for telling me, guys. I've never even played any Final Fantasy. I would've just searched it up, but "Lightning" is a fairly broad word.

More confirmed characters! Yay!

Nathan Drake from Uncharted, Big Daddy from Bioshock. Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank aren't offically confirmed, but they might as well be. I mean, they already got stages.

Maybe if they can't put in Solid Snake/Old Snake, they can put in Naked Snake/Big Boss or Raiden. They weren't in Brawl. (Unless you count the theory that Snake in Brawl is both Naked and Solid Snake).
 
Super excited for this game, probably gonna get it on Vita, itll be a great game to play while waiting for SSBU3DS or whatever thats gonna be called. I'm hoping for Sackboy to get it in (I mean he already has a stage) but I'm also looking forward to seeing how the cross platform play works :D
 
A friend of mine pointed out that they should add Abe from Oddworld. If you don't know who Abe is, just search up Oddworld: Abe's Odysee. Problem is, though, Abe was a pacifist. He was completely against violence. His games were stealth and puzzle based. I wonder how that would work

They could definitely have a stage based off of Oddworld. The main setting in Abe's Odysee was Rupture Farms, a meat processing plant funded by corporate greed. They could combine Rupture Farms and Rapture, the underwater city of Bioshock, to create Rapture Farms, an underwater meat plant.
