PokéBeach Community Decklist #7: Klingklang EX

Status
Not open for further replies.
+1 Professor Oak's New Theory (Needed for consistency)
+1 Rainbow Energy (For the pokemon to attack)
+1 Prism Energy (^)

-1 Eviolite

It's a good card, but four isn't necessary with Junk Arm.

+1 Junk Arm (gets back items)
+1 Twins (explained above)
+1 Smeargle (not great in this deck because there's no Switch, but clutch draw is still important and Smeargle is still better than Cleffa.)

+2 Pokemon Catcher

Choosing who you kill is huge, especially against ZekEels. This deck doesn't need 3 IMO because it kinda one-shots everything anyway.

+1 Juniper

Raw draw power. Self-explainitory.

EDIT: BTW for the Energy on the OP, 4+4 ≠ 6

+3 Basic Metal: Pretty essential considering this deck needs a decent amount of energy to work properly and Metal Energy work perfectly alongside Klingklang. Basic over Special Metal just because it's a good idea to have at least a few basic energy in a deck if it can be helped and the fact that Lost Remover is still seeing some play.

Wow, RDL. I like the choice...but I don't think Twins will be enough to search it out. Sounds like Communication might have to go in here. :/

Anyway, I really like N in here (way more so than Professor Juniper). It is a come from behind deck and N (along with Twins) can single handenly get you back in a game that you thought was lost. Since I can only add three cards, this will be a nice start:

+2 N (explained above)
+1 Random Receiver (the deck may not run many Supporters but getting to choose between PONT, N and Twins is a nice option and can help you in a bind)

This also brings up the deck to 52 cards so we can have a couple more additions too.

dmaster out.

Communication has to be in here anyway to search Darkrai. On that topic:

+2 Pokémon Communication
+1 N (explained above)

+2 Juniper (Running 1 is not enough, it is also a great supporter).
+1 Communication (Explained above).

-1 Random Receiver (Running 1 is not a good idea).

-3 Juniper (You will be discarding you're Klinklang line and important late game cards)
+2 Random Reciever (gets needed cards, Junk Armable, consistent).
+1 N (explained by dmaster)

-2 Groudon EX
-1 Kyogre EX

+2 Terrakion
+1 Smeargle

Kyogre EX is a terrible starter, a free two prizes against ZekEels, and honestly I don't know why its here in the first place. Until someone can explain what its doing for the deck I see no reason to keep it.

Terrakion is simply better than Groudon EX in this deck. Terrakion has more hp per prize given, can attack for less energy, and has a better damage output (90 hits a lot more things than 80) and nothing that is commonly used will OHKO it anyway so Groudon doesn't necessarily work any better with Max Potion.

Smeargle is actually a great card in this deck even without Skyarrow Bridge. First of all, the opponent is often going to drop a Skyarrow of their own. If they don't that fine; just attach a Rainbow or Prism energy to Smeargle then retreat for free with Darkrai. Once Klinklang gets out, you can move the energy to an attacker. Every deck is helped immensely by Smeargle, and your lone copy getting prized can really hurt.

-2 Terrakion (Groudon is better)

+1 Kyogre EX
+1 Groudon EX

Kyogre can be the final punch into ZekEels, crippling them completely. Even if they can still knock it out and get 2 prizes, it would probably still be worth it because you can easily sweep their field once they have one or no Eelektrik left. Groudon outclasses Terrakion because Terrakion can be OHKOed by Zekrom with a Pluspower, getting rid of all of your energy.

I'm back and ready to edit for tomorrow. So make your changes! ...until you feel that you don't need any more.
