Well obviously. There is very little room for creativity with MEGA-style attacks and everyone should know by now I care very little about the "text based" aspect of cards.

Visuals for me people, always was always will be.

That card is just so... amazing... I'm literally breathless. Image-Based is getting more and more interesting... :D

Ps.: Also, I'll try to Judge as much as I can tonight, and hopefully continue Thursday afternoon.

Don't mind if you lose points for wording, a card with such unique effects like that would be a nightmare to word properly.

While I understand why it might be better to see the official mechanics, I think that some of the most creative cards were made by trying to guess what PCL would do, like [link=http://images.wikia.com/neoredux/images/1/19/Blazikenmega.png]CMP's Mega concept[/link]. It would be interesting to see what fakers could come up with using the Primal concept, especially in a contest that takes creativity so seriously.

The base were Neo style blanks, while the flavour box I took (with permission granted) from Nekoban Ryo's [link=http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/080/8/4/tepig_new_species_by_shiningbill-d4ti5ih.png]New Species blanks[/link]. The blanks were also influenced by a lot of other custom blanks, the only unique part is the border :p

So yeah, this guy. I've replaced the ability text field with the attack text field so they are the same width (now that you pointed that out, CMP, I can't believe I didn't see it earlier). Hopefully pretty creative, or at least enough to beat asch and his stupidly good Kyogre.

When I posted this last night I came to make a clarification post after and didn't realize that making a double-post would go into an edit instead of a new reply, so it looked like I edited my post instead of making a new one. It was an honest mistake, my first day here and didn't realize that the forums did that... I PMed the judge about it and they said I could delete and post it again unchanged... so here it is. (I'm using [N] to represent dragon-type - I don't know what the "official" one is and have used [N] for myself when I made a few text fakes for fun, so it didn't cross my mind to check whether or not that is the standard way to do it or not.)

Oh God, I made a Gardevoir ._.

I'm not sure how it happened myself. I wasn't looking forward to this month's because there's so much needless detail on a lot of these Gen 3s and I don't really like most of them anyway. It didn't help that I couldn't come up with anything decent for Ninjask, so that option was out. And then I suddenly got a pretty neat idea for a Gengar or Alakazam or something, but since neither of these are Gen 3 I had to choose between Gardy or something uglier like Dusclops or something. There have been way too many Gardevoir cards, both as actual cards and as fakes, and I kind of hate myself for making one, but oh well, it was either this or nothing.

Looking up reference art for this was... interesting. Why did I find not 1, not 2 but 3 pictures of a pregnant Gardevoir? It boggles the mind. Anyhow, I'm quite pleased with the art, it includes the infamous moon and at least it's better than my last Gardevoir drawing.

The effects... I really need to stop trying to come up with unique effects because looking up reference text becomes more and more difficult. I should do Magikarp next, although knowing me I'll probably end up giving it some convuluted evolution attack...

Anyhow, retreating during your opponent's turn seemed like a neat thing to do. I came up with the name before I came up with the effect and it seemed too cool to let it go to waste. The attack is what made me pick Gardevoir. The idea of damaging the Active Pokémon only to then spread it around the opponent's bench sounded pretty nifty to me, and I had to add the Energy stuff because it's Gardevoir and that's sort of Gardevoir's shtick. That and being horribly broken.

No wallpaper because why would you want a Gardevoir when you can get a Venomoth wallpaper or a Parasect wallpaper? Yeah, I thought so.

Night is pretty, sunlight sears my flesh and turns my bones to dust.

Also, Venomoth is a moth, so of course it needed a night background. Clefairy is the moon Pokémon so I couldn't just put it in broad daylight, could I? And then for Gardevoir I was like: "whatever, this seems to fit, let's roll with it." Hurrah for laziness! Just be glad I didn't put her in a mushroom-filled cave or in a dense forest.

@pokemonfan723 make sure to credit the illustrator, and include the CaC symbol. I'm not sure if you can do that without getting a points reduction but make sure to do that next time.
