PokéBeach Create-A-Card: Oct. 2014 - Ghost

I think that since November is in relation to Thanksgiving, I think that the theme should be either Flying Types or Pokemon that have a smile on their face in their Ken Sugimori artwork.

Aside from the obvious issue of not everyone celebrating Thanksgiving in November (and some not even celebrating it at all), I'm not sure if you mean to restrict image-based to Ken Sugimori artwork or if everyone can only use Pokemon that smile in their Sugimori artwork. I don't like it either way.


I'd be interested in a Team Magma's/Aqua's Pokemon-themed CaC. We've done Hoenn Pokemon as a theme already, sure, but this is RSE/ORAS-specific - really really related to the big Pokemon release in November. And it'd give us plenty of creative options for our entries.
 
That seems quite specific, as I neither celebrate Thanksgiving (in Australia), and what about text-based? Do we have to find the Pokemon's artwork first as well?

Magma/Aqua-themed seems quite nice, as I was a fan of the TCG set when it was out (not that I have many cards from it unfortunately).

also like "rev3rsor's _____" sounds a bit awkward but so does my real name so idk...

I'd be interested in a Team Magma's/Aqua's Pokemon-themed CaC. We've done Hoenn Pokemon as a theme already, sure, but this is RSE/ORAS-specific - really really related to the big Pokemon release in November. And it'd give us plenty of creative options for our entries.

Nor do I celebrate Thanksgiving.
I like the idea of doing M/A Pokemon, or Hoenn trainer cards/stadiums.
 
Not too keen about pairing up with someone for CaC. I'd feel more pressured to get it done sooner, and in general, I prefer not having to rely on someone else if I don't have to.

Can't think of many great themes myself. I like the idea of non-fully-evolved Pokemon. They have lots of creative possibilities. I know some people do these Pokemon somewhat frequently, but I don't believe I've ever made one, and I think I'd like the challenge of making one.

That works nice. I wouldn't even mind if it was something like 'Team Jax' Pokemon or 'Team Steffenka' Pokemon. That way, people could showcase their favorite Pokemon while trying out a more interesting play mechanic.
 
How about a CAC using pokemon that kinda exist in real life (Politad - Tadpole,Clauncher that pistol shrimp, etc.)

When do results get announced normally?

Results are usually announced the first couple of days of the next month. We're going to be having a delay this month, but the next round should be up soon.

I like this idea because we could do item cards for it as well!

Also, I kinda hope its not a pairs competition next time unless we also have the option to join solo and just make 2 cards! That way people arent disallowed from creating things just because they cant find someone to work with or dont want to work with someone else.
 
We also could try making our own Team ________ Gear. Like Team Magma Gear, Team Flare, Team Plasma, Etc

Like the Team Flare Gear recently released, we could do gear for any of the villainous teams (put a tool on your opponent).

That gives you 6 choices for what card to make...unfortunately not very creative IMO.

I wouldn't say that. There can be a lot of creativity. We could possibly invent a new Team Flare mechanic or something like that.

I agree. Could we even be able to choose other kinds of trainer cards, like a Supporter for Giovanni?
 
I changed the wording on my Drifblim's Carry Off Ability from "discard one of your opponent's Pokemon in play" to "discard one Pokemon in play and all cards attached to it." This way, they wording is slightly better and you can also discard your own Pokemon, which might be helpful if you want to free up Bench space or remove one of your damaged Pokemon off the board.
 
We should have a Charizard theme to see who makes the best Charizard. Or a Drohn theme. Those seem popular as seen here and here.

Jokes aside, since OR/AS are released this month, a Hoenn theme would be great. Maybe for the new Mega Pokémon that are released in it?
