Welcome to the 7th PokeBeach Fakemon Contest here in Fake Creations! This contest if for artists of all kinds to come together in a friendly, Pokemon & Art related contest. The theme this time around is to make a Fakemon that is related to the Christmas / Holiday season. Fakemon for this contest may be any type, but they must represent the holidays or winter in some way - so be creative! In this thread, Anyone may enter a Fakemon. You MUST have a Picture at minumum, but any other info like Name, Dex Entries, Movepools, etc. are not needed, but they are suggested in order to make your entry the best of quality. Any medium is accepted - you may enter hand drawn entries, colored entries, digital art, sprites, etc. Make sure to keep your ideas original and follow the theme! We will keep a tally of votes in order to have a season-wide ladder. The artists on the top are the ones to beat!

The goal of these contests is to possibly make a Pokebeach fan-made Fakedex. I really need the help of the community in order for this to happen though, its not an easy task! Please help by getting everyone you can to enter and getting everyone you can to vote!



RULES:
[1] All Pokebeach Rules apply.
[2] No stealing artwork. Seriously, be original.
[3] No exception to entry deadlines.
[4] No voting for yourself.
[5] One final entry per person.


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
-Must follow the Christmas theme.
-Any other secondary type can be used if desired.
-They can be a completely new Pokemon.
-They can be an Evo or Baby of existing Pokemon.
-They cannot be a fusion of already existing Pokemon
-They cannot copy or impersonate any Fakemon that aren't your own.
-You may enter previously made Fakemon, as long as they haven't been in one of these contests before.

DEADLINE:
Entries are due on the deadline
Ends on Christmas night at Midnight!

Voting begins the next morning after Christmas

VOTING SEQUENCE:
-You may vote for (3) entries. Please list them in the order that you prefer them.
-The top one gets 5 points, the second, 3, and the third, 1.
-Points will be added to determine the winners.
-No voting for your own entry.

Origin: I based this fakemon around mistletoe and the idea that Jesus is the lamb of God. Mistletoe represent fertility and love which conquers death. It's also symbolic of the tree of life, thus paralleling it to the virgin birth of Christ.

Basic stage

Name: Eotelam ( Mistletoe + Ram)
Fertile pokemon
Type: Grass
Pokedex entry: The berries on this pokemon are used in many herbal medicines and teas. Seeing this pokemon is said to be a symbol of good luck and love.

Stage 1
Name:Mistlertile (Mistletoe+Fertile)
Fertile Pokemon
type: Grass
Pokedex entry: One legend tells of a Mistertile living for thousands of years. It uses it's berries to feed it's young, since the berries contain an abundance of nutrients. Were ever it walks the ground becomes fertile.
 
Entry requirements need to be fixed, bro. Also Ysmir is misspelled in the first post!

Anyway-- Hanukkah theme is cool, right?

And yes, any winter holiday should be fine, just be sure to explain it if you think there may be some confusion.
 
"... next morning after Christmas." Let's just call it Boxing Day and see how many people get confused.
 
Can I submit a trio of Pokémon that are thematically related to each other ala Sawk and Throh?
 
I'm new to this forum and very interested in entering these fakemon contests! Of course I'd only have a few hours to make it, but I might try.
 
I guess Silzau wins by default.
However, since no one voted I think it's only fair no points be awarded.
I was just too caught up IRL to enter so for that I apolgize.
 
Well. I technically never started the voting phase. I figured it was pointless.
So guys... The Fakemon contests are pretty much dead.

Any opinions on what to be done? I say we take a break. Maybe 'till summer or something.
 
I say until Spring for it to be opened full on however I think for special times like Valentine's Day or St. Patty's we should do special versions.
Like End of May? Perhaps?
 
Yeah, a break would be nice I guess. Although I agree with Ysmir's idea about a valentines day contest.
