PokéBeach: The Game
The Idea
Well, I was making scratch sprites, and I called one "the Mod Pokémon." This sparked an idea about a Pokémon game involving PokéBeach as the main setting.

Plot
The main character arrives in PokéBeach via boat and is prompted to register at the dock. After registering, the character explores the area, then goes through a town that only talks about Pokémon news (Front Page News) and a town that talks all about the island. (Site Discussion) In Site Discussion, the character learns that in the recent month PokéBeach has experienced many natural disasters due to the recently formed volcano on the top of the island. Almost the entire Community Fun region has been destroyed, and the volcano is getting worse. The area is fenced off and guarded by two super mods. A member in Site Discussion (Xous) warns the main character to stay away from a bar called "the chat room." Indecisively, Xous tells the character to turn after reaching the first fork in the road from there, and they will successfully avoid the chat room. Then, Xous will promptly reminisce about PokéBeach's "better days", and hint at why he was de-modded. After turning at the fork, as the other area is blocked off somehow, the main character comes across the chat room, and decides to go in. The chat room gang- a group of slightly senile, senseless drunks- ends up ganging up on the character and kicking him/her out of the bar.
As the character is kicked out of the bar, the Trading Council shows up to stop the Chat Room Gang. The Trading Council, in full uniform (should be the police sprite) then precedes to warn the Chat Room Gang with 40% for Violence. The Chat Room gang then fires insults as the Trading Council, who then proceed to give them yet another warning for Trolling and Flaming. Then, they go off on random rants with nothing to do with the current topic, in hopes of confusing the council. They aren't fulled, and the Chat Room Gang is warned for spamming and gets banned from Pokebeach for having a 100% warning.
All of the Pokebeach ports have posters of the gang so that they cannot get back into the island for they have been banned forever due to the build up of bans over the past year.
Xous comes out of the bar to meet the Trading Council to talk about the island issues. The Trading Council tells him to stop meddling in affairs that don't concern him, and walk away.
Xous and the character are left staring down the road at the disappearing council. Then, there is an explosion. Xous sighs sadly, knowing that more members will be lost, and then goes to the volcano shelter to avoid the eruption. You then see Kevin Garrett (I hope I spelled it right) and head for you.

I can't help, but I would recommend NOT using game maker. It has many limits (Like size of maps) when using it as an RPG maker, and it is really difficult to use it as an RPG maker. I'd recommend this program called "RPG maker XP". It's a lot smoother. I might be able to help with cover art....

Actually, I wasn't planning on using game maker... I need people who can put the scripts & stuff into an RPG maker.
 
I was already making this. xD You can ask anyone on chat. So I will just leave off here for now, good luck on getting the game finished before me.

Really? Whoops. But of course, yours wouldn't have the exact same storyline as mine, with an apocalyptic world of PokéBeach where the chat room gang are a bunch of drunks, and moderators can transform into creatures.
 
I have one question, where should I start? And should I have WPM be like Prof. Oak at the beginning of HGSS?

Well, no, WPM is actually going to appear somewhere else in the game. There is no professor. What you can do is expand my storyline by adding more details.

Preview looks nice :) Shouldn't there be someone doing music? or are you just using the music from the other games?

also, julia why not use GM? thats what im using for my game. I tried using RPG Maker XP but it was really confusing.

Mine is 100% chat based with the past involved also including the present. It also includes website issues we have had, IE Turkish Hackers. XD
 
May I recommend, RPG maker, I know it costs money but it's certainly worth it.

Oh yeah, can I help with the story line as well? :3

Also, what kind of action do you want in the game? Are there like Pokemon battles, gun fights, etc?
 
Ok, are you gonna write some in what I just gave you? I know that there will be one against Kevin Garrett. Also, what Pokemon generation is gonna be used? This would be helpful to know.
Edit: Here is the next part:

You stand petrified as Kevin Garrett walks towards you. He laughs and call you a coward. He then says prove your self in a battle.

This is all I have time to type, I gotta go know, but I'll get more done later.
