PokéBeach Tutoring Program
Are you new to the competitive battling scene? Or maybe you’re an experienced battler, but have been away from the game for awhile. Whatever the case is, your welcome to sign-up for the PokéBeach Tutoring Program. If you are accepted as a student, you will be taught by one of PokéBeach’s best battlers. They will teach you everything you want to know about the competitive scene. Whether it is how to build a team or how to predict to a higher standard, they will do their very best so that by the end of the month you will be able to become a respected battler on the PokéBeach Forums as-well. Unfortunately, we will only be accepting players with access to Shoddy Battle.
One Season = 3 Weeks
Meet the professors:
Dragon9 has been on PokéBeach for a very long time. Dragon9 specialises in OU, Ubers and VGC. Highlights of Dragon9's Pokémon 'career' would be making Top 8 at the United Kingdom's Video Game Championships, as-well as finishing runner-up in the "Fourth Official PokéBeach Tournament". Dragon9 has also reached Top 4 in a Smogon Ubers Tour and Top 8 in an OU Tour. Dragon9 is more of an offensive player, but has adjusted to being able to play Stall.
Dragonexpert is one of our new tutors. Dragonexpert specialises in Ubers and has made a name for himself by reaching fourth on the Shoddy Ubers Ladder. Dragonexpert also plays OU, he is a consistent and solid battler.
Gamercal is one of the most respected battlers on the PokéBeach Forums. Gamercal specialises in OU and is known for his 'strange' but effective sets. Gamercal has proven himself to be one of the top battlers on the forums by winning "The Fifth Official PokéBeach Tournament" and proving his consistency by achieving a high position in previous tournaments.
Kevin Garrett is likely to me the most influential Video Game player ever to mod the PokéBeach Forums. As far as I know Kevin Garrett can play most tiers to a high standard, this is shown in his most recent achievement in finishing second in the Smogon Tour finals. Kevin Garrett has also won a number of tournaments on PokéBeach and has never gone out in the first few rounds. Kevin Garrett has also been top of the Shoddy OU Ladder several times.
Limitless has played Pokemon ever since the early stages of DP, and has really gotten to see the metagame shift many times. With these shifts, he has built a large majority of his teams based on the logistics of countering these metagames. In terms of achievements, Limitless has won many tournaments on Smogon and PokeBeach (won an official PokeBeach Tournament). With relation to laddering, he has gotten 8 accounts over 1640 in OU, 2nd place in OU Suspect, and a rating of 1730 in UU. However, Limitless will only be tutoring someone he feels is ready to make that next step, so give him a PM if you're interested.
The Assassin is another one of our new tutors. The Assassin, started off a beginner and has gradually made his way up the ranks. The Assassin specialises in OU and UU, although he is a strong VGC battler. The Assassin likes exploiting his opponent's lack of knowledge by using UU Pokémon in the OU metagame, which his opponent is unlikely to have come across very often.
Plato is a newer tutor, who has proven himself to a be worthy of his position as a tutor. -More information coming soon-
Pride is one of PokéBeach's veterans and is one of the strongest battlers around. Pride specialises in OU and has been ranked second on the OU Shoddy Ladder. Pride is also a tutor on Smogon, so he has a lot of experience. Pride is in charge of organizing tournaments on PokéBeach which is a lot of responsibility.
