Introduction
Welcome to PokéBeach VGC Domination. The idea of the group is basically, I have noticed members of the community have been interested in competiting in the Pokémon Video Game Championships this year. In this group we will aim to dominate the VGC's, representing PokéBeach. The group can help develop each-others teams and hopefully do well or even win in the VGC’s. From personal-experience, it's quite tough finding a VGC match, due to the rules. The group can be used as a match-finder as most of the members will have a team that complies with the VGC rules.

I'd like to welcome our three new members. Juliacoolio, palkiadialgaclash and fortegoddx. Be sure to introduce yourself.

Our first subject will be talking about the metagame and what you think will be played.

If we're going by Japanese rules, I'm certain weather teams will be the main type of team played. But ofcourse many people will be wanting to counter these teams, so I'm sure we can expect a lot of counter-teams.

Hey I'm forte. I went to Texas Regional or whatever it was called last year and didn't get picked, but I was going to try to run a Rain Dance team. As for the metagame, weather will be a huge thing here. I'm still going for a rain dance team, with Kyorge and Mewtwo as my Ubers.

Hi I'm Juliacoolo. I got third at the PBT5, and am sixth on the leader board. I've never lost in a tournament (Official of course. I've lost plenty on shoddy, and unofficial tourneys) and I hope to help out!


Is the Japanese ruling that you may use one of the legendary obtainable in the game? If so, here are my thoughts:

More Rain dance teams
More Blissey (Mewtwo)
More Sandstorm teams
Less delicate/big setup teams

I think it's odd that they'd make such a move, when not long ago they didn't let us use T-Tar!

I believe it was two legendary, excluding some which they list.

Hey....i'm Alex....i'm 10 years old and never entered a VGC before....but plan to this year...anyone know if RNG is aloud in VGC?

Yes it is, because they can't detect it at all, but over RNGing shiny may result in them thinking you hacked and stopping you from entering.

Hey there, my names Shannon.
I'm sort of new to competitive play, so I'm mainly here for help. I usually don't battle people online for practice, because my internet is a jerk and locked my DS's out. But, I can battle people at my Grandma's. Anywho, I'm interested n making a TR team, which my friends helping me on, and maybe I can get tips here because there are a lot of weather teams in the JP tournaments that I've seen.

Well, if I ever get good enough to enter the tourny, (that should be happening soon). I'm most likely going to go the the Dallas one.
That's a little info about me, so thanks and it's a pleasure to be in this club. :3​

Sweet, if you go to Dallas I can meet you up there. Ok trick room you say? Look into a level 1 Smeargle with dark void. That is one of the most common trick room pokemon ever, which is why I had a counter for it. Tell us what you have already planned?

And yeah, I was thinking about the Dark Void Smeargle, but now it's too common and I was debating. So far, I was thinking about:

Bronzong
Weavile
Dusknior
~*~Insert Pokemon Here~*~

Don't ask about move sets or anything, I'm not good at that stuff. D:
And I would have to decide on a full team.​

Weavile? Seems kinda fast for a TR Team. Also move sets and everything else would be helpful also, lol.

I don't think even the likes of TR will stop the ubers. The main objective this year will be wrecking with the ubers and not much else, ofcourse other factors are involved.

You could always get a pokemon to outspeed the ubers and set up trick room.

Remember, ubers are made uber for their defenses aswell as attack. They can take a few blows and serve a very strong one back.

Well, unless you can work a strategy.
Wait is Rayquaza one that is usable? If not thanl goodness cause I hate that thing.

Out of all of them, possibly Groudon, and mewtwo would be the best attackers imo. But, slightly easy to take out.​

Rayquaza is usable...*Jumps in joy* I love my Ray...

Well...since Garchomp Isn't Uber on VGC i bet i'll see:

Dialga
Kyogre
Garchomp Alot.

I mean really?Thsi is just plane bad.Also thanks to Latios not being Uber.......TR dosen't have its normal power play..neither does Rain Dance.

Dialga works for me, but Garchomps a bit fragile in ubers.
