Pokémon Cosplay

Well, since I've started earning, I've been starting to teach myself to make cosplays. My only actual successful one, besides Death Note's Misa, was a Team Magma Grunt, female cosplay (Which can be seen in my avatar, and will be posted larger below). I was personally quite proud of this one, seeing as I've never made anything like this before.
But basically, I was just wondering if there's anyone around to share tips and advice relating to Pokémon cosplaying?
I hope this is the right place to post, I was directed here, so... Here's hoping. >.<

RE: Any Pokémon cosplayers around?

Well, I was planning on either being Cheren or Silver for Nekocon next year. (I didn't get the stuff I needed for either in time for the last one)
I'm really only doing those because I have black hair, and those are the ones I would prefer. If you have better suggestions though, go ahead and throw them at me. My sister also wants me to cosplay as Izaya from Durarara, too.

It's horrible when you don't get your stuff on time, I'd missed both MCM and J-con before I got my TM cosplay done. D:
I do like Cheren; I think Izaya has one of those faces that you have to have for a cosplay to work, if you know what I mean?
Also, Cheren doesn't seem that hard to put together a costume for, either, which is always a plus.

RE: Any Pokémon cosplayers around?

There's the thing; I actually spent all of my time trying to do the Cheren cosplay. It's kind of difficult to find a lightish blue suit coat. I didn't want to resort to making the whole thing from scratch, so then I just went to the convention plain. I'm gathering the materials for it this time. I only fear having my sister get all the stuff for the Izaya cosplay for me only to have a Cheren costume already made.

If you get two, maybe you could use one for another con? Or maybe take both and change if you get a chance? Only problem with having two being price, of course.

I've been to a few conventions myself, but my girlfriend mainly makes our costumes >.<

Your team magma one looks really good, I look forward to seeing more from you!
