Welcome to the second part of my story, Pokémon Legacy!
As some of you might have noticed, and some haven't, this is the second thread of the story. For all those who want to start reading this story but haven't read the first part, don't worry. For now the story will focus on the prelude, and it'll show a small introduction to the story. In short, it's a summary of what happened in the first part. So after you read that, you'll be fully up to date what took place before this story starts and you can enjoy the story as much as any other!
For the people who actually read the first half, I'm sorry to inform you that the first chapter of the second book isn't finished at this thime, but I'll be posting it as soon as possible. Feel free to leave a comment anyways, and if you think I missed anything REALLY important in this introduction, please state so. I'll add it to the introduction before moving on then.
But for now, here's the prelude and the introduction for you all!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
[Prelude]
It is in the far future, and pokémon development has had its peaks during this time. However, during a certain incident most, if not all, civilisation has disappeared from our planet’s surface. Wild pokémon now roam the world, and the world has been divided into a few separate continents. In this world of the future, people have lost the track of time, at least after the year 4051, according to the Christian Calendar. Fierce battles are waged across the whole world, as many groups or clans are fighting each other for supremacy over the world. Amongst the biggest competitors are the PMC, Team Twilight, Team Eclipse, Team Neo Rocket, Team Infectus, and Team Galaxy. Apart from these main competitors, many smaller groups also compete, as well as some individuals. In this aggressive environment every issue is solved by battling each other, and only the strongest will survive. People who don’t possess pokémon of their own, or who can’t look after themselves in any way are usually living in fragile constructed cities, usually ’’protected’’ by a group of trainers. The biggest of the groups have their own base, and also their own cities within them, for their followers to live safely inside, far away from other groups their influence or attacks. This story that you will behold is told by me, Brian Shephourd. If I might fall during the battle for our planet, then at least some of you will know what my actions were, and how I experienced this era…

[Introduction]
Welcome to my journal. My name’s Brian Shephourd, and this is my tale of the far future I live in. What you are reading right now is the second part of my dairy.
For those of you who haven’t read the first part, allow me to give you a short summary of what I’ve been trough not too long ago…
I’m a member of the Pokémon Masters Clan, or PMC for short. Our base was being attacked by Team Galaxy, a rival organisation we are at war with. During their raid, they kidnapped one of my closest friends. So after asking permission to our leader Black Rayquaza a few friends and myself went out to go at Team Galaxy’s base to not only rescue our friend, but also to gain some information on Team Galaxy’s research and other goals.
In order for us to infiltrate the Team Galaxy base, we had to pretend to be one of their troops, and thus we were forced to participate in the so called Recruitment Survey. The Recruitment Survey was a large scale tournament between all potential new recruits, and only the strongest would actually be able to enter Team Galaxy as new members. As we entered the Recruitment Survey, I met up with a new person who was sent after us to infiltrate the Team galaxy base as well. His name was Daniel, and he came on orders of Black Rayquaza himself to aid me and my friends. During this Recruitment Survey I fought many tough opponents, but I managed to win each battle, until I confronted a special girl… a girl named Shannon.
During my fight with the Shannon I learned of a new pokémon ability, one that I had never witnessed before… The ability was named apocalypse, and it was an attack in which the pokémon underwent a whole transformation as a result of the pokémon’s anger and hatred. The result was overwhelming… The pokémon gained tremendous attacking abilities, and the move itself rendered the opposing pokémon and trainer unable to move, or even perform any other action. So unprepared for this encounter, I was slaughtered in battle by Shannon and her pokémon. My Recruitment Survey went on though, and I was glad I still got a chance to enter Team Galaxy despite my loss.
After that, it all began to change was the weirdest… With the Recruitment Survey still going on, the Team Galaxy base was attacked by a single man who simply forced his way trough the base by brute force alone…! As numerous Team Galaxy Grunts gave their best to stop the invader, they were simply pushed aside and beaten to a pulp by the invader’s Machamp who also appeared to be capable of using the apocalypse attack. Not long thereafter I faced the intruder one on one, but I was simply being toyed with… After the short but brutal battle, a second invader joined in, claiming to have gotten what they needed. Shannon then joined by at their side, and to my shock one of my closest friends joined in as well! Thomas was his name, and he assured me that it was nothing personal. The four of them then left the Team Galaxy base, and I was hospitalised due to my own injuries the invader’s Machamp had given me.
Once I woke up, I met a new person named Freya. Freya revealed to me that she was part of Team Galaxy only to reach her own goals, and that she had discovered I was pretty much the same. Due to a condition I couldn’t escape from I was forced to tell my own story, but Freya promised me to keep it a secret. And gladly, she did. After I managed to return to the normal activities that took place after the Recruitment Survey, I was delighted to hear that I passed the Recruitment Survey without being able to finish it due to my injuries. My remaining friends had successfully entered Team Galaxy as well, and our true mission could finally begin. Or so, we thought.
Right as the ceremony to celebrate the Recruitment Survey had come to an end was about to finish, one of our long lost leaders appeared at the Team Galaxy base… Max Shade IV! After quite the dramatic entry, Max Shade IV revealed that he came for his own business to the Team Galaxy base, and he made his way to Team Galaxy’s leader, Cyrus. I decided to follow him, and together with the team I was appointed to as the leader I made haste to follow and confront him. Only then did we find Max Shade IV battling Cyrus, who proved to have some tricks of his own… Max revealed that he had come to rescue the legendary pokémon Mesprit from Cyrus’ clutches, and a fierce battle was waged between the two mighty pokémon trainers. In the end Max Shade IV proved victorious, and it appeared he had only faced a cyborgs clone of Cyrus himself, which had now lured Max in a trap. Max managed to escape, and he told us that he would return to our side once he had taken care of his own business. Until then, we would have to manage on our own.
After the fierce battle, I obtained a pitch black pokéball that proved to be a ball Cyrus used to capture and manipulate Mesprit, but that Cyrus wasn’t completely sure about the origins of the pokéball either… For that cause, my team and I were sent on a new mission. During this mission Freya and my two other friends who had infiltrated the Team Galaxy base, Chris and Kenny, would accompany me and my team. After spending the night in a very special room at the Team Galaxy base our new mission began. We were transported to an area outside of the Team Galaxy base, and it turned out to be an ancient village deeply buried underneath a think layer of ice. As we began to investigate the various tunnels and caves in which the village had been preserved, we encountered some old familiars…
Shannon and Thomas, as well as the other invader whom had taken the things they needed from the Team Galaxy base appeared in front of us, and a mighty battle ensured. Freya, Daniel and I were now separated from the rest of our team because the tunnel leading to the area we were in had collapsed. Not long thereafter we were all defeated and taken capture. We had no choice but to watch as the black pokéball that I had obtained was used by our enemies to awaken an ancient terror… An Aerodactyl who appeared to be in its apocalypse form non-stop was awakened using the powers of the mysterious pokéball, and it began to unleash its fury by rampaging the cave. It was eventually captured, and as our enemies retreated, Thomas stayed behind… To confront Kenny, Chris and me in a three versus one battle.
The battle between Thomas, Kenny, Chris, and me turned out for the worst as Thomas killed Kenny and Chris, leaving me alone to face Thomas and his newly gained powers… As I was losing the battle I learned of a new ability myself, which appeared to be the exact opposite of the apocalypse attack… The ability I mastered was called ragnarok, and as Thomas and I fought a fierce battle it proved that my ragnarok gave me the upper hand in the battle to win. As I managed to defeat Thomas it turned out that Thomas never wanted to do the actions he had done, but that Shannon had forced him to do them by means unknown. I was relieved to see Kenny and Chris turned out to be okay after all, and before we could get a full explanation of Thomas Shannon appeared and took his life.
Daniel, Kenny, Chris, and I decided to give Thomas a worthy funeral, and we finished the investigation mission we were sent out to do… While Thomas’ body was being transported to the PMC base, we returned to our own cruiser and we returned to the Team galaxy base to rescue our missing friend, and to return to the PMC ourselves…
