Paddy was just about to shake Victor's hand, when Sewaddle jumped, quite fiercely, straight at Victor.
"Sewaddle, stop that. You know what I've told you about jumping out at people. Sorry about that, Victor. Sewaddle is extremely protective of me."
Suddenly Paddy's Litwick jumps out of his Pokeball and starts jumping around.
"Sorry about that-my Litwick can be really active sometimes."

Just as Night has defeated the Gastly and set it free, he hears someone crying out in pain. He goes into the next dorm and finds Paddy and Victor, with Paddy's Pokemon all running around.

"Litwick, try to calm down this other Litwick! Oh, where are my manners. I'm Night, and I'm in the dorm next door."

You can have a roommate but it's not mandatory.
Oh, and Game Freezes only happen at night, when Musharna uses Hypnosis on everyone.
