Am I the only one who sees the fact that the Dragon type in Goodra's summary is pretty far to the left? It seems to me that someone edited out the second type just to troll us.
I'm not sure, but that's what it looks like to me.

That's already been talked about way to much in this thread. It's been proven that it's pure Dragon already. Please read previous pages before posting-this discussion is getting out of hand.

As for the dual-formed sword/shield idea, I like it. It seems it can switch back and forth in battle and will prove very interesting. It'll be great as support or center of a team.

Guys. don't be skeptical about leaks. Plenty have the ability to leak Pokemon, so we shouldn't assume it all fake. Know that chances are pretty good what we see in the next week is likely legitimate. Just don't let your guard down to obvious fakes.

I don't think there's a confirmed name for the other forme. That being said, it's strange we haven't seen it yet.

At level 53, unknown nature (though, looking at the stats, it seems to be Naive nature), Charizard's stats are:
HP: 160
ATK: 118
DEF: 110
SP. ATK: 131
SP. DEF: 103
SPD: 134

Mega Charizard X's stats, in comparison, are:
HP: 160 (HP never changes)
ATK: 167
DEF: 148
SP. ATK: 153
SP. DEF: 103
SPD: 134

So, Sp. Def and Speed stays the same, Sp. Atk raises a bit, and Attack and Defense are raised by a lot, with Attack being its highest stat...
If anyone wants to try to calculate the base stats, I'd be happy to know the result...

Why does it even get a Special Attack boost? Its ability is improving Physical moves.

But anyway, the boost to its special attack is not really that much... I'm more impressed by the Defense boost... While Mega Charizard X looks bulkier indeed, Charizard is known for its frailty... But it's a good boost...

With this much improvement from going Mega Evo, now i'd love to see the improvement of single stagers Mega like MegaAbsol or MegaMawile, how much do they'll improve?

Mawile has a rather low BST with only 380, so i'd love to have MegaMawile at somewhere over 500. While Absol's BST already quite high, i'd love it if the improvement to it's Atk and Speed will make it past 540 BST

I know what that is and it would be fine if Mega Charizard X had a different ability, but instead it gets an ability that probably ups Physical attack by 50% and the only way it could be a decent mixed attacker, is if it was Modest had bad IVs and 0 EVs in Attack.

Mega's look like they might make the game to easy. There has to be more of a drawback than "once per battle."
Also, do you guys think it's possible that you get some Mega Stones via catching random wild Pokemon (They have it as held item) but only as a very rare occurrence? Trainers can have Mega's, so why can't wild Pokemon Mega-Evolve? However, the Mega Stone would be a necessary held item if they did.

Are you familiar with competitive battling?

Even having EVs slightly more on the special side could make a difference.
Just because its ability is highly beneficial to Physical moves, it doesn't mean it's restricted to them.

Some moves I can see benefiting Charizard X:
-Earthquake (provides nifty Heatran coverage without relying on HP/Focus Miss)
-Flare Blitz (as opposed to Fire Blast)
-Dragon Dance (it actually has a good attack stat to use it now)
-Outrage (very strong Dragon coverage)

Am I like the only one who thinks Charizard X plus Belly Drum is a bad thing?

If SR is on the field before you Mega Evolve it, it's already gonna be at 50% hp.
And for any Pokemon, having 50% hp is really not gonna help it in the long run - a priority Water move or something, whilst still being neutral damage, could be an unpleasant experience for it.

Just stick to Dragon Dance, that's the real boosting gem that Mega Charizard X has.

Wow, the last three leaders are probably the best I've ever seen in any main series Pokemon game. I love Olympia. My hopes for gym leaders were low as the ones officially revealed weren't really my cup of tea but wow Olympia, Ramos, Valerie, and Wulfric really changed that.

There are alot of different move sets he can have too! We still haven't discovered all the new moves!
