Yeah there is, because as someone said above, Eeveelutions are used to promote new mechanics, or in this case mechanics and a new type. There is nothing else they need to promote besides Amie and Fairy type, which Sylveon handles on its own.

Maybe Sylveon was just to show off the Fairy type, and there's a new one related to Amie? Maybe there's some new mechanic we haven't heard of yet?

Also, didn't they announce Espeon and Umbreon separately?

I'm not saying that it's definitely true, but I do think that there's a good possibility that it's true.

Its type was unexpected tho, I was assuming Poison. Hopefully it gets a Dragon/Poison evo!

It's highly unlikely, but to each his own. We have both given our opinions, and until release we probably won't know for sure. Best to just leave it at that.:)

Aww it's so cute and wobbly, like pudding... I wonder if this will be the pseudo-legendary this gen. They might pull another Haxorus... Due to fairy type they can actually create more dragon Pokemon now, it wouldn't create weird balance issues anymore.

I kinda sound like I'm crazy, but I'm just really freaking excited. (Well, and I'm a bit crazy too)

Back on topic:
Dragon/Poison would be fantastic. I could certainly see GF doing somehting like this, as they've tried to make Poison a bit more viable this gen.
