PokeBeach, The Forgotten Story: Rise Against the Darkness
(Part 1)

Porygon held a fragile needle in his hand. He was in a small, incubated room which had papers all over the place with formulas written all over them. A chair was in the middle of the room, though it seemed to stand out from everything else, mostly because of its color.

Someone knocked on the door. “Come in, it’s unlocked” Porygon said as he continued staring at the needle. There was a tube attached to it with green liquid in it.

The door opened and a man about Porygon’s height entered. He quickly made his way to the chair and sat down. Porygon put the needle softly onto the desk as he switched his concentration on the chair. He firmly grasped the straps on the chair and locked them on the man’s legs and hands. “So, this will work?” the man asked.

“You’d be the first to test, Lenny. If this is a success, then you should be as powerful as HolyStar himself” Porygon said. “But if this doesn’t go as I suppose it will, I’m going to have to try to drain them. If that fails, I’ll have to ‘put you down’.” Porygon felt the sharp tip of the needle. He searched for the vein on Lenny’s wrist and placed the sharp needle on it. “This will hurt a little.” He punctured the needle inside of his vein and released the green liquid into his blood stream.

“AHH!” Lenny screamed. His eyes immediately turned green. The power was being transferred into him, but his body didn’t know how to accept this kind of thing. Porygon stepped backwards as Lenny was thrashing about in the chair. The straps broke and Lenny went loose.

“Can you hear me, Lenny? Snap out of it!” Porygon screamed. Lenny’s eyes turned back to their usual color, brown, and he calmed down. Porygon ran over to him and took out a flashlight. He opened Lenny’s eyelids and flashed the light into his eyes to see if he was alright. “You’re…normal. It worked!” The joy overtook him and he immediately called the rest of the resistance to head down for their dose.

Lenny was a little dizzy, but he could walk. He made his way towards Porygon with a bit of an uneasy look on his face. “So how do I know what my ability is?” he asked. His wavy hair that reached down to his eyes made it hard to see Porygon, but not too much.

“Well, if my calculations are correct, the effects should start happening any moment. I can create a force field around you if your abilities go crazy” Porygon said. He was extremely exuberant about this new discovery. “You know, if someone gets the ability to shut down the powers of Light and Darkness, we could easily defeat HolyStar.”

Suddenly, a spark of lightning was shot out from Lenny’s body, destroying a small test tube that was empty. “Whoa…” Lenny said as he stared down at his bare hands. He put them closer together and electricity started to form. He rubbed his hands together to make friction and a huge spark blasted out of his hands. “I think I know what the ability is.”

More of the resistance entered through the door. It wasn’t all of them, but it was most. “Ahh, Kronar and Gale. Glad you could make it.” Porygon directed them to the small chair in the middle of the room. Kronar took his turn first and sat down. Porygon used the same procedure he used on Lenny. He picked up the second needle and injected Kronar with the green liquid.

This time, Kronar didn’t have the same side effects as Lenny. He was completely calm and his eyes didn’t change colors, either. Instead, after Porygon was finished, Kronar simply stood up and walked over to Lenny. “That wasn’t too ba-” Kronar cut himself off when he began to choke on anything. He coughed up blood, but nothing seemed wrong with him.

“Porygon, what’s happening?!” Lenny asked, frightened by the whole situation.

“Lenny, shoot your lightning at his body! Maybe that’ll stop this” Porygon suggested.

Lenny stepped backwards and hesitated to use his ability, mostly because he didn’t know how to. “Alright…here goes nothing.” He pointed his arms out towards Kronar and the intense lighting blast shot out, shocking Kronar.

Kronar stood up and the burns and bruises started to heal. “He-Healing?!” Kronar wondered as he made his way to the large wall separating the different rooms in the building. He punched the wall and his knuckles broke. The knuckles moved around and put themselves back in place. “It is healing! How am I supposed to help now?” But Kronar wasn’t expecting an answer.

“Wow, wasn’t expecting that” Porygon stated as he showed Gale where to go. Gale did as he was instructed and was strapped into the seat. He injected the liquid into Gale and a blast of light aura exerted out him. It obliterated the chair completely and an aura glowed over his body. “The power of light!” Porygon exclaimed.

Gale felt the power within him. It flowed through his body. This was the first time he ever felt in control of his body. The light purified him and his older medical problems were diminished by the power of light.

“Whoa…this feels…weird” Gale said, creating a light energy ball in his palm. A white aura was casted around his body by this new ability he had obtained.

Porygon moved over to the computer and recorded the data. “You guys know that this will be the hardest thing we’ve ever done in our entire lives” he said and paused to give them time to think. “We have to kill his strategists first. Without them, he is nearly nothing.”

Lenny, Gale, and Kronar looked at each other with determination in their eyes. “We’re the turning point in PokeBeach’s history. We can do this…” Kronar said as he closed his hand, making a fist. “We’re not weak anymore. We have a chance to change the world for the better.”

“Great” Porygon chuckled. “Go get a good rest. We’ll attack in the early morning when they’re not expecting it. If we get discovered, our chances of defeating HolyStar will be gone. Go on, now.”
The rebels exited the room as Porygon continued to enter data into the computer.

A few minutes after the rebels left, another knock on the door was heard. It was Amt, the moderator. “I’m sorry to disturb you, but I don’t think my ability on its own will be able to do much” Amt complained, but Porygon ignored her complaints as he typed on his keyboard. “Are you listening to me? Ice versus Dark and Light. Who wins? Not me, of course!” But Porygon continued to ignore her needs. “What’s the point anyways?” Amt left the room and slammed the door behind her.

“Foolish girl. She has no idea what she’s gotten herself into. She won’t be able to stand her own ground. She’ll be manipulated into bad decisions” he said to himself as he continued to type data into the computer.

The sun rose, shining its powerful rays upon the civilians living in PokeBeach. It was extremely early and nobody but the early workers were awake. This did not include the strategists, although.

Kronar was fully dressed in bullet-proof equipment and had 2 loaded guns strapped to his suit, and so did Lenny and Gale. “You guys realize we might not make it back to see the world once again…” Gale said depressingly. “I feel like we’re powerful, yet weak at the same time. Our plan has plenty of flaws. We’re criminals…”

“Don’t think of it that way. We’re doing a favor to PokeBeach, but we won’t be brought back as war heroes. We’ll be brought back as villains. We might even be put into jail if discovered” Kronar explained, though it didn’t change Gale’s attitude. “Just think of it as a favor to PokeBeach.”

Porygon entered the small changing room and handed them the directions for the mission. “Alright, let me start this off. First, you’ll be heading into their base. I’ve located that it’s near the Game Corner area. They’ve hidden themselves pretty well, but not well enough. Just go in there silently and blow their brains out. Leave no traces of yourselves. Understood?” All 3 of them nodded in agreement and headed out the doors.

They left their headquarters and made their way to the Game Corner. As they got closer to the base, they reported back to Porygon. Their feet grew tired, but they kept advancing.

“We’re...here” Lenny sighed, wiping the sweat off from his forehead. He looked at the silent base and pulled out his gun and so did Kronar and Gale. “Alright, we walk in and shoot them on sight, understood?”

They nodded and they crept slowly into the base. Their plan had only one flaw, though; the unexpected happened. HolyStar greeted them in with a huge blast of light and darkness combined. It struck Kronar in the gut and went right through his stomach. Luckily, his healing abilities refined him. “Rebels don’t fall that easily” Kronar smirked. He fired his pistol several times and the bullets rushed towards HolyStar.

HolyStar closed his eyes and hoped for the best. When he opened his eyes, he saw one of his strategists lying on the floor dead. “Fapster…” HolyStar said desperately. He created a light shield around himself that would deflect the likes of bullets. “You really think you guys can beat me? I’m more powerful than the whole staff combined.”

“We’ll never fall if we stand for something!” Gale shouted as he created a small light energy ball in his palm. “We refuse to lose to the likes of you. Corruption will lead us to nowhere!” He blasted the energy ball at HolyStar’s shield and it shattered! The light fragments from the shield blasted outwards towards Gale and Lenny, but they dodged them.

HolyStar wiped the swat off of his forehead as he stared right into Lenny’s eyes. “I see you’ve joined the rebellion. I hoped you’d understand, but I guess you can’t exactly ‘stand your own ground’.”

Lenny’s face turned red as anger flustered throughout him. “I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP ANYMORE! AND I CAN STAND MY OWN GROUND!” He generated a powerful electric spark between his two hands and blasted it outwards towards HolyStar. But HolyStar disappeared and was nowhere to be seen. “Where…where did he go?” The electric blast hit the strategist building instead and it shot up in flames.

Normal members seemed to have noticed the uproar and came to the scene. “Porygon! This didn’t go exactly as we expected! We need your help!” Lenny said to Porygon through the voice messenger. Moments later, Porygon appeared by their side using his own abilities.

“Don’t worry…I should have seen this coming. They have retreated to somewhere else and I’ll try to figure out where. You guys did well, but I’m proud of you Kronar. You could have killed him, but chose not to. We still need information from him” Porygon explained as he focused on the three rebels in front of him. They were all teleported back to base. “I suggest you go take a nap since you woke up early. It’ll be a nice refresher from an almost-death situation. Run along, boys.”

A cool breeze entered the sleeping room of the three rebels through the window. The breeze had a mist-like aura around it, so it wasn’t any normal breeze. The chill ran down the three rebels’ spines. They were immediately awoken and rose to their feet.

“What is that?” Kronar speculated, but the mist-like breeze transformed into a human. “Amt?!” All three of them sighed.

“Don’t get your guards down. This is no time to be relieved, sadly. I was informed by the staff that our base is going to be attacked b the strategists. We need to get out of here immediately!” Amt explained. But the rebels refused to run away from a battle.

“It’s a battle they want and it’s a battle they’ll get” Lenny said as a he made a fist. “They think they’re so powerful because they also have abilities, but we do too. I’m assuming HolyStar informed them of everything that happened. This means they know about our abilities. Thankfully, Fapster is already dead. We should have an easier job now. Amt, will you be battling with us?”

But before she could respond, a large BOOM sound was heard outside the base and the ceiling collapsed on top of the four rebels. On contact with Amt, the ceiling remnants froze, creating an ice barrier between the rebels and the strategists.

Through the ice, only 2 strategists could be seen. “Amt, can you unfreeze things?” Gale asked.

“I can try!” She placed her palm on the ice and concentrated, but before she could even try, the ice transformed into fire. She quickly took her hands off of the fire and stared at the strategists.

Jake, the strategist, had the ability to make things light on fire or explode; not exactly fire wielding. “Glad to see me?” he chuckled as he set the whole rebel building on fire.

Porygon was in the laboratory with all the formulas as the building erupted into flames. The formulas toppled onto each other and were mixed, creating a new diluted formula. “Darn, the formula…the rest of the rebels won’t be able to help us fight!” The ground below Porygon exploded, too, sending the formula into the air. It landed back down onto Porygon. “AHH!” The formula entered his body through the mouth and eyes.

Porygon’s body couldn’t handle the immense power of the formula, due to the fact that he already had an ability. “This is why I didn’t want Amt to have a dose” Porygon said to himself. His skin became wrinkly and pale. “How can it end this way…?” His body shrunk and shrunk until he was no bigger than a grape.

Lenny glared into Jake’s eyes and sent a small electric current into Jake, paralyzing him for a few moments. “I call it my ‘Paralyze Gaze’ and it’s freakin’ awesome!” Lenny exclaimed. Gale took his chance and blasted several light beams at Jake.

The other strategist that was with Jake was Absolution. “I won’t let you guys beat him…I will never ever let you rebels win” he smirked. His body began to flash, each time with different colors. “FLASH!” He exerted a huge light flash from his body that blinded everyone around him for a few seconds.

The light attacks that Gale had used struck Jake. Jake lost consciousness from the powerful attacks and fell next to the burning building.

“Kronar, get Amt out of here! You’re the only one that can escape unhurt!” Gale exclaimed and Kronar did as he was told.

Kronar ran over to Amt and picked her up. “It’s alright, we’ll be out of here soon!” He ran to the main hall which was completely destroyed. “Come on…where are you Porygon?!” Kronar located the laboratory.

Porygon wasn’t dead, only shrunk because of the formula and he could still use his abilities. He teleported right in front of Kronar. “Whoa…Porygon?” Kronar touched the shrunken man and Porygon was healed. “I…can heal? So many questions” Kronar sighed.

“Where is everybody?” Porygon asked. Kronar led the way to them and left with Amt.

“Porygon! We can’t survive in here much longer…The smoke is suffocating us” Gale said. Porygon concentrated on their bodies and they were teleported outside of the burning building. Just as they escaped, the building collapsed and completely burned.

Kronar and Amt were already outside. “Kronar…let go. I need to kill that man…Absolution.” She escaped from Kronar’s grasp and held out her hand with her palm pointing towards Absolution. “You won’t get any redemption!” He shot out an ice blast from her hand. On contact with Absolution, it froze him.

His body fell due to being unbalanced and shattered on contact with the ground. Porygon ran over to them and Lenny and Gale caught up, too. “Where will we live now? Our homes are gone…” Kronar said.

“Don’t worry…there’s nothing to be worried about. We just killed 2 powerful strategists. But there’s an even bigger problem. When HolyStar finds out about this and if they find us…we’ll be executed” Lenny said. “But for now, survival is the only necessity. I’ll go live secretly in the Writing Corner where nobody will look for me.”

“Same here…nobody will expect us there” Gale responded. Kronar nodded, too. They would all live together there. “Porygon, can you teleport us there?”

“Of course I can…” Porygon said. He concentrated on their bodies and imagined the Writing Corner in his mind. Instantly, they were transported to the Writing Corner. “Amt, you’ll live with me. That’s the only place you’ll be safe in.” After he said that, he teleported himself and Amt to his house.

In the moderator building, Water Pokemon Master and HolyStar were talking about their plans to officially exterminate the rebels for good. “Jon, do you seriously think we should kill them? I only want them to understand…not die. I’m a good guy, not a villain. I…I tried to make Lenny understand, but he’s too stubborn and will only get himself killed” HolyStar explained.

“And do you have another plan? I don’t believe you do! They have abilities now and they’re just as powerful as us! I do have another plan that could work, but it will also involve getting the rebels killed” Water Pokemon Master explained. “You see, if I give you the powers of an administrator, you should have no problem killing them by yourself, now would you?”

“I don’t believe so, Jon. But why would you give me the powers of an administrator?” HolyStar asked. “It’ll seem like spite. Even though I’ll easily be able to destroy them…it won’t be fair! They deserve a say!”

“I don’t want them to understand, don’t you understand? They have threatened the life of this land. They are terrorists and will not be tolerated with” Water Pokemon master said. He placed his hand on HolyStar’s shoulder and both of their bodies began to flash brightly. “I just transferred some of my administrator abilities to you, meaning, you are an administrator now. Use your abilities well. Tomorrow, you kill the rebels. Every single one of them. I don’t care who they are, what their abilities are, or if they can help us. We need them dead, not alive. I’m trusting you with this duty. If you don’t complete this action, I will strip you of your abilities and you won’t live to see another day on the land of PokeBeach. Understood?”

A decent length to start off the story. I hope you enjoyed reading it!

Ironically, these kinds of opinions may have pushed Holy Star off the edge. It was a main reason he did his scheme, which was because he knew people didn't trust or forgive him. I'd stop this story, unless you like talking crud about someone behind his back who's long gone now and can't retailiate.

dmaster out.

Just because something happened won't stop me to spread my opinion. I doubt this pushed him off the edge. HolyStar isn't some mentally unstable person that really cares about others' opinions. I bet he had his own reasons. Although this may have been part of the cause, I doubt it wouldn't have happened if I didn't write this.
