Q. Can I nominate a Pokemon's specific gender (i.e. female or male Meowstic)?
A. Yes, but only if there are drastic changes between sexes (like Meowstic).
If you want to add Pokemon to your lists that fall under this rule, you may edit your lists accordingly. If there are any others besides Frillish and Meowstic (inb4 nidos) just run it by me first
Thanks everyone for participating. I have spent the last like 90 minutes trying to sort through all the nominations (and I'm still not done) but expect an update later today. We might have 64 in the main tournament but we'll definitely be having a losers bracket (as in a bracket for losers since there are so many Pokemon with just one vote).
Finally got all votes counted. Here are the numbers.
1. A total of 355 Pokemon designs were nominated.
2. So many Pokemon received multiple votes that we have enough for a 128-man tournament. The remaining few spots will be randomly chosen from Pokemon who only received one vote.
3. Gardevoir, the runner-up in the last tournament, was nominated the most times.
4. Gengar, the winner of the last tournament, was nominated only three times.
5. Out of the Pokemon that only received one vote (excluding ones chosen for the main tournament), there will also be a 128-man sub bracket. Participants will be randomly chosen.
6. Servine got a non-zero number of votes. I am disappointed in all of you.
In the end, the final Pokemon from each bracket will face off to become PokeBeach's Favorite Pokemon. However, in order for the Pokemon from the sub bracket to claim victory, it must acquire a supermajority of votes (>67%).
The pairings in each tournament are random, so you never know who will win!

It looks like we won't need to bring any one-vote Pokemon into the main tournament. Instead, the bottom spots will be randomly selected from all Pokemon that received two votes.
Welcome to the first round in the competition to find out just who is PokeBeach's Favorite Pokemon! In the nomination round, you all cast your votes and I, along with help from random.org, narrowed down that massive list to the 128 most popular entries.
So, what now, you ask? Again, it's quite simple. Each of the 128 Pokemon was randomly paired up with a second Pokemon to be its opponent in the competition. Your job is to decide which Pokemon out of those two you like better, and then vote for it. Then move on to the next bracket, vote for your favorite, and so on until you've voted for all the brackets.
To cast a vote, just PM me and make it obvious to me which Pokemon in the pair you want to vote for. Keep your brackets numbered and in order!
THE RULES
1. No abstaining from any vote.
2. You must vote for only one Pokemon in each pair.
3. Voting is to be done by PM only. This is to ensure the integrity of the contest. Votes cast in-thread or via profile message will not count.
4. Voting is to be done at once - no voting for some now and some later.
5. Votes cannot be changed once submitted.
6. Posting predictions in-thread is allowed.
I suggest copying the list directly from this post and then using that to make clear who you want to vote. Delete the loser, bold the winner, anything that makes it clear who you want to cast your vote for.
Q. What criteria should I use when voting?
A. Use whatever criteria you like. Competitive VG ability, actual design, moves it learns, card art (if any), anime appearances... I don't really care what you use to make your decision as long as your vote PM follows the guidelines listed above.
Q. I didn't participate in the nomination process. Am I still allowed to vote?
A. Yes! Voting is open to the public, so even if you didn't nominate 30 favorites, you can still cast a vote. Tell all your friends to come take part!
