RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines! *NEW: AbilityDex!*

Cubbage
Bush Pokemon
pansage.gif

Basic Pokémon
Grass
Ability: Solar Charge* (HA: Photosynthesis)
Stats: 60/100/75/75/80/80
Extra info: this Pokemon can learn an unusual amount of Fire moves for a Grass type (due to its evolution)
This Pokemon loves it in summer, where it plays with others in the hot sun all day. During long periods of rain, it gets very unmotivated and lazy. The plant on its head can produce berries which taste better the more they've been in the sun.

Solear
Solar Bear Pokemon
ursaring.gif

Evolves from Cubbush with a Sun Stone
Grass/Fire
Ability: Solar Charge (HA: Photosynthesis)
Stats: 80/120/95/95/100/100
Whilst this Pokemon seems large and ferocious, it's actually a gentle Pokemon that cares for others. It's also surprisingly agile, being able to climb trees without much problem. The ring on its body is a natural solar panel. On clear, sunny days, it will just lie in the sun absorbing energy.

*Solar Charge: boosts the attack stat by 1.5 in sunlight, but lowers HP by 1/8 each turn. (basically a physical version of Solar Power)

I decided on Grass/Fire for Solear as its more of heat-solar thing as opposed to straight-up fire... and I guess it kinda shows that fire can be associated with associated with the sun as opposed to just being fire. Plus I (say immodestly) prefer this version of a Grass/Fire type as opposed to some plant thats on Fire...

Flarie - F
Graceful Pokemon

Basic Pokémon
Fairy
Ability: Run Away (HA: Kindhearted*)
Stats: 70/70/70/70/70/70
These Pokemon are very loyal to their owners, and have a very sweet temperament. However, when it comes to battling, they tend to be wimpy. They can fly for very short distances on their ears.

Sacreferno
Sacred Pokemon
reshiram.gif

Evolves from Flarie - F with a Fire Stone
Fairy/Fire
Ability: Serene Grace (HA: Levitate)
Stats: 90/90/90/90/90/90
It's said that they'll only listen to competent trainers. When a group get together they produce beautiful fire patterns in the air. Due to this, they have been celebrated and many cultures have festivals in their name.

*Kindhearted: When this knocked out, it heals the HP of the next Pokemon to be sent in by 1/4 of its total health.

Extra Info: Gains boots in Attack and Special Attack. Can be used in sky battles.
It is said to contain dark matter. The flame on its head is bigger depending on the amount of dark matter in its body.

Formatting is over 9000

Flaregon should be Fire/Dragon but should have the ability to be used in sky battles. It makes most sense to me IMO as it is literally the "Dragon Pokémon"
I like this line, but I'm not sure if the type changes from evolution to evolution are necessary. I'd suggest keeping Xamatter Ghost/Dark, at least, and Mega Xamatter can be Dragon/Dark or something, although I think it's weird that the line would lose its Ghost-typing along the way.

I also think Xamatite (ala Abomasite or Alakazite) or Xamatterite (ala Gardevoirite) would be a better name for the Mega Stone than Xamatterinite, as the Blastoisinite and Houndoominite are the only Stones which use the "-inite" suffix (but would've fit better with the others if they were actually Blastoisite and Houndoomite).

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines! *NEW: AbilityDex!*

Putrid is listed twice in the ability dex. Also I think Prinally is a better name than Mikoprinally.

Remolver
remoraid.gif

Water
Ability: Sniper
Stats: 35/45/45/85/35/95 Total: 340

Bazooklaw
clawitzer.gif

Evolves from Remolver via Fire Stone
Water/Fire
Ability: Mega Launcher
Stats: 80/90/100/145/80/40 Total: 535

I was thinking
sandile.gif
->
hydreigon.gif
->
giratina-origin.gif

30/65/30/30/30/65(250) -> 100/70/70/110/80/60(490) -> 100/60/80/130/110/120(600)
The first would be Electric and have Solar Power while the other two would be Dragon/Dark and have Levitate. I was thinking it would store up electric energy from the sun until it has enough energy to evolve through leveling up during the day in a route with harsh sunlight at like level 30. It would need the energy because it starts out kind of weak and then jumps a lot in power to the second stage which would evolve again at a high level. I was also thinking it would be a pseudo legendary line to justify the big power jump between the first and second stage, and still have another stage after it.

Reggie you are really slacking on adding to the dex.

Oh, I only have to pretty much think about what type I want next, look for lines, look for a Pokémon I want, if it doesnt have a code (or if I didnt make it), I'll have to rewrite it word for word with formatting to add it to the dex, and do it when I'm not busy (school starts in a week for me, so I'm very busy)

I asked for you guys to do the codes, so I could just easily copy/paste Pokémon without having to rewrite it, but I was being nice about it and not making a requirement. But PMJ has informed me that I am slacking, so I think I'll make things go by faster and ask that you all post codes of your Pokémon in your post that contains your Pokémon, starting now. This is a requirement, and I will not use your Pokémon if it does not contain a code starting from this post. This should make things easier for me to put Pokémon in the dex :)

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines! *NEW: AbilityDex!*

Wait, if the problem is keeping proper formatting, can't you just quote the post and copy it from there?

The inspiration for this line was my sister who wanted nothing more than to be a ballerina but she was chunky and got made fun of a lot. She ate right, lost a lot of weight, and now she's a student at a pretty top tier ballerina school. I'm proud of her. She's awesome. I love you, Amanda. <3

(Goldeen's dex entry refers to it as the Water Queen so that's why I chose it for the mega.)

You've gotta be kidding... I quite literally laughed when I read this... haha

RE: Pokedex 2.0 - Pokemon with different types and evolutionary lines!

I split the Pokedex in 2 thanks to sizing issues, 1-100a is in OP, 101-??? is on post 4.

Also, the Pokedex has gotten me to think about the region itself. It's obviously a very diverse region, with lots of plains areas, a beach/sea, a polar area, and right now I'm adding Pokémon that would live in a desert region. If anyone wants to draw a region, feel free.

I like the name Balonce (Bal ounsay) for the name of the region as it is a play on Balance, which seems to be the theme of the region (the main two legends are light and dark, and we have lots of Pokémon that "counter" each other (like Hailord and Droughtlord). Anyone else have suggestions?

One thing we could do for the region due to the dex numbers is have it like Kalos, with a central, mountain and coastal dex - although depending on the amount of Pokemon/types we could expand on that.

I think the region name should include the word balance, as like you said it is a recurring theme with the Pokemon, but I also think that the name could be more creative than replacing one letter with another. (we could look up different languages for the word balance for example) I think we should also all agree on what real-world location it's based on, and then maybe take name inspiration from that as well.
(we could even include libra in the name, that could be an interesting thing)

(we could even have the shape of the region being loosely based on the sign for libra )

I can try and draw out a sketch for a region, if you want me to. I think our region could be based of Europe, since it has the hotter parts in the South (Spain, Italy, Greece etc) and the colder parts in the North (Scandinavia, Finland, parts of Russia etc). We could have Scandinavia being island based, and maybe include small parts of Iceland and/or Greenland, so it's like a large hot part, in the south and an island based colder part, in the north. Good or bad idea?
