This is an official event. Signups just began today. They will end when the player cap is reached, which is currently 50,000 players or February 14 23:59 UTC. In order to sign up, you must go to the Global Link Website. The actual tournament begins February 15 at 00:00 UTC and ends February 18 at 23:59 UTC.

Format: Rotation Battle

Prizes: Each participant that completes one or more matches will receive a Micle Berry.

For a full list of rules click here. The biggest things to note are that all Pokemon are eligible to enter except for Chatot and any Pokemon that is over level 50 will be reduced to level 50 for the duration of the tournament.

Remember that the Pokemon you are using must be in your Battle Box in order to complete the registration process.

Good luck to all participants.

When I first read that all Pokemon are allowed, I refreshed the page 'cos I thought my browser was playing games.
In fact, this is of the most unofficial Nintendo competition events 'till now. Except for making legendaries and events legit (I foresee a huge bunch of Arceus in all shapes and sizes), the number of matches needed for a Ranking is only 1 instead of 10, the prize, Micle Berry, is already released in the DW, and the standard Double format is replaced by the (awful in my opinion) Rotation format. I don't know about others, but I'm not sure if I wanna join this.

I said one or more, not ten. :p

I'm going to give it a try even though I wouldn't consider myself an expert at Rotation battles. I don't have a Micle Berry or any pinch berries for that matter anyway.

It was like this in the last one, but yeah, everything else is interesting. This is a friendly, though, and doesn't have any Championship Points up for grabs.

It's a little odd that only BW2 are allowed, but free berries are free berries. Cool.

I'm also open for any practice games. Keep in mind it has to be the free mode and I'll be using level 100s since otherwise it bans most of the legendary Pokemon.

I signed up. I'll probably do terrible like I did in the January international tournament, but I'll just make the best out of it. Also hey, it is free berries. Also, all Pokemon but Chatot allowed? :O

I'll sign up, too. I decided that I could just use a bunch of imperfect ubers for fun. After all, an Extremekiller Arceus is too good even if it doesn't have a perfect EV distribution. The fact it's Rotations won't slow me down-in the end, I believe it's all a matter of good prediction. So here I gooo!

There are going to be a lot of Groudons and Kyogres.

*starts digging through boxes for Dialga and Palkia.

I finally decided my last two Pokemon to use for it. I made sure to test a certain mechanic beforehand to make sure something works as I intend it to. I'll let everyone know how I do. If only this was on PO I'd cream everyone.

I just had my first battle. In an effort to try and teach some of our audience as well as entertain them, I have uploaded my first tournament battle.

Leads: Groudon, Reshiram,Latios vs Deoxys, Palkia, and Dialga

I first use Rock Polish with my Groudon in an effort to be able to outpace the entire team. My plan was foiled by him having Dialga use Roar Of TIme. Because he would be immobilized, I had my Salamence first Dragon Dance to raise its offensive prowess followed by Earthquake to wipe out Dialga. Next he sent out Kygore. I didn't want to lose my Focus Sash right away so I had picked Reshiram to use Dragon Pulse which did about 1/3 of Kyogre's HP. The goal of it was to get it so I could finish off Kyogre with Latios or Salamence. I Dragon Pulse one more time then he uses Hydro Pump, KO'ing my Reshiram. Since I know that my Latios outpaces his Kyogre I used that to take it out. This would lead me to a more advantageous situation in the event his Deoxys would be Focus Sashed. I had Salamence get rid of Deoxys with Outrage. Looking back, I should have picked Dragon Claw, but it would not have mattered. Either way against Palkia I had to do Outrage because I wanted to guarantee a OHKO in case it had a Haban Berry. The final score was 2-0.

I'll try and post another video or two with a brief summary as the tournament continues.

Edit: Did two more battles, but they weren't that interesting. One of them had a Venusaur probably with Chlorophyll to get rid of Groudon. 3 of the four Pokemon the other person picked were weak to Blue Flare so that wasn't a difficult battle.

Did eight battles so far. I was afraid that I would be toast since I hadn't EV trained any of my Ubers. However, it wasn't like that. Except in two occasions, where I lost 2 battles from the same person, all of my other battles were too easy. I've actually won them in 4-5 turns using only one Pokemon each time: Extremekiller Arceus, DDRayquaza and Focus Sash Deoxys-A. Funny enough, people don't seem to had realized that everything's allowed. In half my battles, my enemies didn't run a single uber. None of my battles were interesting so far, so I'm not uploading anything.

And KA, what was that niche you were testing which would own us all (it probably owns me)?

I'm now up to 8 wins and no losses. I was testing to see if it mattered if you selected your weather starter first or second. My Salamence has been owning a ton of Pokemon. I owe probably close to 20 KOs by now to it. My Reshiram has also been working phenominaly.

Did two more battles. Won one, lost the other, bringing me to 7/3. I'm not doing as good as you, KA, but it's not bad I guess. My Deoxys-A is the star here. I owe him about 15 KOs. I just love this Pokemon's raw power.
Here's the video of my last battle (the one I won) which I find quite interesting, as it shows the prediction challenge Rotations present. One thing. My Arceus is Relaxed and only has full Atk EVs and very few Spd, that's why Victini outsped and tricked me. Damn, that Scarf really limited my choices, since I couldn't use Shadow Claw to beat Giratina.

Video No.:82-75612-18542.

I'm gonna watch KA's video now.

Edit: Saw the video. Obviously not a SpDef Groudon :).
One question. Were you so sure that he wouldn't switch to Palkia when you used EQ? If Palkia survived, then Spacial Rend would break you, and if Deoxys ran Extremespeed, then Focus Sash wouldn't do much either. Same would happen with Reshiram and Latios. Chances were too high. I know it didn't happen, I'm just wondering why you chose not to Rotate.

Many opponent's will simply expect an Outrage or Dragon Claw after a Dragon Dance. It was obvious I was going to do DD the turn he was immobile. Unless I'm mistaken, my Salamence was at full HP at the time you are referring to. My Focus Sash would've saved me had he switched to Palkia. Deoxys running ES is common and I assumed it would have it. Had he switched and I got down to 1 HP, I probably would've switched to Latios since it was at full HP and do Dragon Pulse. It outpaces Palkia and could take an Extreme Speed well enough. I had to do a prediction against someone else who had Rayquaza and attempted to finish off one of my Pokemon with ES only to do about a third to a full HP Pokemon and get OHKO'd.

I see.
So, I had 4 more battles and now I'm sitting at 1604 with 11/3. KA can't be alone in the +1600 tier! Man, I should have EV trained. It would have gone even better.
I'd like to say that I have a battle worth of attention, but these last battles all had the same pattern. "Arceus used Swords Dance-Arceus used Extremespeed x3-Deoxys used Superpower" (I wanted my alien to get some KOs :) ). I got bored in the end.

Unless something goes really bad tomorrow, I should be above 1700. I'll also post another video, but I don't have the time to write up comments because I leave shortly for work.

There are going to be a lot of rage quitters.

I fixed my other post. It's this or half the people I battle have terrible internet connection.

My Wi-Fi was screwed today, so I only managed to start battling half an hour ago. I did 2 more battles. The first one was ridiculous-a team of NFE Pokemon. The second was a bit more interesting, although I made things bad for myself by misclicking Extremespeed instead of Swords Dance in Rd.1. Here's the number if you wanna check.

Now let's see KA's...
Edit: Well executed. Looks like you outsmarted your opponent. At some spot, I was afraid you were done, but you made it through.
