BW/BW2 Pokemon 2013 Winter Friendly Competition

I won five more times this morning, putting me to 21-1. Only one was worthy of saving a battle video. I also was about to beat someone that was rated 1648, but they DC'd because they are a baby and didn't want to take the loss. Right now I'm sitting a little above the 1700 mark.
 
I'm really enjoying this Rotation metagame, but I wish Ubers were not involved.. So far I'm 11-1 and somewhere in the mid 1600s. Jirachi is a boss. :D
 
Just to let you know, it does get harder to earn a lot from battles the higher up you go. Your win expectancy will be high so the stake will be low. The problem with Jirachi is it autolosses to Groudon, Kyogre usually, Reshiram, and Zekrom, all of which are fairly common in good teams.
 
Jirachi is viable though... I'm sitting at about 1650 with 14/3 and I lost two battles 'cos of a Jirachi. I had two 'good' battles with people of 1550 but generally... meh. Seems realy annoying to me that half the people haven't understood that this in an Ubers tournament.

Haven't had an issue with Zekrom, and the rest of my team handles the other guys quite nicely in my opinion. Although I have not faced a Reshi...

My one loss was a great game against a CM Arceus and Sub Charge Beam Darkrai. Made a lot of bad predictions cause I thought his Arceus was Dragon but he was actually ghost. :p Came down to the wire, but it was the additional damage from Darkrai's Bad Dreams that did me in. I wish I saved that battle video...
 
I did lose one more battle against someone in the 1800s, but I did win a couple more times also. It figures that the opponent's Kyurem happened to be scarfed and I had DD against it so I could get 2 guaranteed KOs with Outrage. Prior to the loss I was sitting at 1731.
 
My damn Wi-Fi has trouble again, so I've played no battles since my last update yesterday. Hope you guys are doing better.
 
You should set up everything manually like I did for my 3DS. I've won 8 battles today and lost 2. Both losses were to 1800s so it wasn't a big set back. I also have a very climatic battle video. I think you'll enjoy it. I'll try and write a whole story on it Monday.

I registered the second day you could, just never made a team or started battling until yesterday.

Anyways, out of 6 battles, I only won once. :/
 
I'm sitting at 1804. I know it isn't enough to be in the top 10, but I'm not sure if I should keep going. A loss would send me back around 20 points or more depending on the opponent's rating. This would equate to a large number of places back in the final rankings. Thoughts?

Also, in just under 10 hours the competition ends.
 
Hit 21 wins and only one loss! I'm somewhere in the 1700s now. I entered a Level 1 Aron, and he's been amazing! Here's a couple of videos if you guys are interested:

Here's one where I couldn't use Aron because of his hail, but it had a lot of interesting predictions I thought worth sharing: 56-38289-11841

I also discovered two things I would have changed about my team that would have helped me a lot and gotten rid of at least one of my five losses.

1) Change my Latios' item to Expert Belt. This would enable it to OHKO Reshiram, Zekrom, and would have KO'd a MS Lugia that was at about 90% since I critted.
2) Change Earth Power on my Dialga to Dragon Pulse. Right now its only dragon move is Roar Of Time and I hate using it unless I have to since it gives a free set up turn. I have not used Earth Power once with Dialga funnily enough.

Yesterday I also would've beaten an 1890 person however two things prevented this from happening. The more important one was early on my Reshiram missed with Blue Flare against Arceus which would have weakened it to the point it would've been KO'd later on. The second was that the Arceus had a PP Max used on it on Extreme Speed. I was soo close.
 
My net fixed up for a while yesterday, so I had three battles. I'm now at 1641 with 16/4.
Battling with Ubers is fun after all! Say, KA, would you mind teaching me some stuff on them?
 
I'd be more than happy to teach Ubers to you. Tomorrow or Wednesday will be better for me though. Skype or Pokemon Online is preferred.

Edit: Lost a match so I need to try and get back above the 1800 threshold again.
 
Had two more battles, but they were with low-rated guys. I didn't get much.
Since my Wi-Fi began acting up again, these are the last battles I'm going to have.

Not bad for an untrained team.

KA, I'll see what I can do. I only recently downloaded PO and I'm still trying to sort out some things. Thanks anyway.

I can't watch your video right now but may I ask was your Aron holding a shell bell and did you have a Dragonite on your team?

He had a Shell Bell, but no, I did not have a Dragonite.

Well I couldn't play today so I finished at 21-1. I had a good time, and am looking forward to more competitions.
