It's an interesting competition to say the least. I think it'd be fun to see all the amazing artwork people can make with the Art Academy program.

Well I can think about is that we're about to see some of the most expensive cards to ever be produced. I was at PAX this year and the cards against humanities people printed out special cards for the people that attended their panel, I think it was about 12 cards total, they were selling on eBay for $150. Now imagine a card game with a following like Pokemon having limited prints of legit cards (tournament legal or not), I bet some of these things will be worth upwards of $200 each. Not to mention the people that get their card printed will have exclusive access to have them sent in for grading.

I've seen some people do amazing art on their 3DSes, I bet these will be some awesome cards! I do wish they would have some kind of official release, though, like a pre-set mini set or something, perhaps with some proceeds going to the artist. Oh well.

Scratch that first sentiment, on the UK site it does say "The Contest is open to residents of Austria, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom..."
Well now, that changes things.

I am the worst at art but I think I am going to try this! Most likely won't win, but why not try?
