BW/BW2 Pokemon B/W older pokemon evolution theory

I know this is a late reply, but your theory on the whole "different cries" thing doesn't make all that much sense, no offense (lolrhyme). Luvdisc was created in Generation 3, and as we know, the Generation 3 Pokemon cries aren't so realistic. As we moved up generations, the cries became more detailed.

Also, the examples you listed are Pokemon who's evolution is within the same generation. Listen to Piloswine's cry and Mamoswine's cry. They sound nothing alike. And with Porygon2 and Porygon-Z. They don't sound alike either. So that's not really a good explanation to why Mamanbou can't be related to Luvdisc. Sure, Mamanbou has a different Ability. There's other Pokemon whose abilities change once they evolve. This is no different.

I'm not exactly 100% positive that Luvdisc will evolve into Mamanbou, but at the moment, I believe so. :>

how can you doubt that they are related? give me ur reasons why and ill explain why mamanbou IS luvdisc's evo
(note: what would be the point of making a pink heartshaped fish thats based on both the discus fish and the sunfish that isnt related on a pink heartshaped fish that based on both the discus fish and the sunfish?!?!)
 
The way that the producers announced that there will be old pokemon only after the main storyline suggests to me that there won't be too many old evos, if any.
 
^ look at gen iv, there were like 20 new evos/prevos and in dp u could only catch like 4 of them pre e4. (i HATED this about dp)

Yeah, it was probably the stupidest thing ever.
All those new evolutions I wanted in my Pearl team, but I couldn't even catch any of them... Platinum was a HUGE improvement from D/P. Including the sped up battles. >.>

Ontopic: I do agree with you on that, there will be some evolutions/pre-evolutions, but definitely not nearly as many as the amount we got in Generation IV.
 
The reason Mamanbou and Luvdisc might have very different cries is because the ocean sunfish makes a very distinct clicking noise by rubbing together its pharygeal teeth. i cannot find if discus fish make any distinct sounds.
 
i hope we dont have another gen that had as many prevos and evos as gen4 again. (wasnt this because of professor rowan being an expert on pokemon evolution)

Actually that could be the reason why... :0
D/P/Pt was so messy with the Pokemon. There were too many evolutions and pre-evolutions, and too many legendaries. Arceus should'nt have even been created. The god of all Pokemon... we have Mew for that. >.> No offense, though. But it bothers me that they would make a Pokemon greater than Mew. =/
 
there are a lot of pokemon greater (as in stronger) than Mew if that's what you mean.
There are more than one Mew, as proven in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew (according to Bulbapedia) so Mew is not considered the original pokemon any more
 
mew isnt a god, mew is just the first/original species of pokemon. and we had too many legends in dppt, heatran and the lake trio had no reason to even be legendaries, and the lake trio was just pointless

I thought Diamond and Pearl should have had more legendaries because I enjoyed the challenge of catching a new legendary =P

Anyways, we need to get back on topic here, I think that there won't be much Pokemon that have new evolutions, and I DON'T think Mamanbou is a Luvdisc evolution.
 
explain to me why you don't as well, then we'll explain to you why we do and make you feel stupid

Meh, most of the 4th generation legendaries were pointless, IMO. Especially Rotom. No story accompanied with it. It's just in the game for no reason. T_T
