Pokemon Best Wishes: Season 1 Episodes (No Season 2 Discussion)

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Thanks for the find DR3W. There are many Best Wishes videos that have gotten deleted due to the Copyright law.

The episodes air in Japan around Thursday. Though I myself watch it on Youtube.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

DR3W are those translations right? I havent really ever seen ash say "damn it"

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Well the bud usually changes what they say i think. I think the word they translated could mean differen thing like, darn it, oh no and crap. Anyway guys what do you expect will happen in the battle club episode?

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

You can also watch it here with English subs http://onepieceofbleach.com/category/pokemon-best-wishes/

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Hahaha, obviously they're never 100% correct but it's in the right direction for sure. You're more than welcome to find a more accurate one on the internet. :D

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Well getting back on topic now....

I hope that the Battle Club episode turns out to be a good one. So far the episodes have been all good and have been enjoying them. I hope that we see a lot of action in this episode like more battling because it would be nice to see Ash fight with his new Pokemon.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Episode 8 title revealed BW 008 - Darumakka and Hihidaruma! The secret of Clock Tower!!, i hope it isn't a filler.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Muuna episode summary, "After his Gym battle, Ash takes a break at the Pokémon Center when suddenly, Iris, who travels together with a Kibago, comes running in. Apparently, her Kibago has fallen asleep and won't wake up any more. In the midst of the confusion, Professor Makomo appears, accompanied by the "Dream Eater Pokémon" Munna." So will this be a fille, will someone get a Pokemon or will a Pokemon learn a new Move?

Also if they go to Pokemon centre and they don't go their at the start of episode 4, that must mean that ash doesn't get Pokabu, because i remeber a scene where they show tabunne and ash has two Pokeballs and Pikachu. The two Pokeballs are (Mijumaru and Mamepteo) so if the Pokemon centre episode doesn't happen in episode 4 that must mean ash still has 3 Pokemon including Pikachu. And the tabunne episode is this episode then ash doesn't get Pokabu so we'll see.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

These new episode titles sound pretty cool, can't wait to see how they turn out to be. The series so far is great and the next episode (episode 4) airs tomorrow in Japan. Episode 4 is mostly about Ash and Iris going to the Battle Club, the rest I don't know what is going to happen. I like to know less of what is going to happen in the future episodes so it keeps me in suspense on what to expect. So I try to read less information about future episodes.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

im kinda confused about the air dates because best wishes episode 4 airs the 7th well isn't the 7th today in japan?or did i miss something?

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Well its Thursday in Japan which is the 7th. Though I think that Pokemon Best Wishes airs around the evening time over there so if it is evening over there it is going to be morning here.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

You know, I object to this definition of "filler episodes" as anything that isn't Ash catching a new Poke/getting a gym badge/learning a new move. There's more to it than that... it's a little thing called PLOT DEVELOPMENT.

On a BW004 topic, Bulbapedia is reporting that Ash catches a Pokabu. But given that the episode hasn't actually aired yet (I don't think, at least it isn't on YT yet) I'm not sure of the accuracy of this.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

I see it this way: if that particular episode never existed and the overall plot is no different (not just in the sense of new pokemon caught, but also experiences or encounters that have some lasting impact on characters), then it's a filler.

A lot of the fillers happen en route to some major location, and assuming no new acquisitions are made or no encounters are made with recurring characters that have recurring consequences referenced in later episodes, then such episodes could be taken out and the main storyline would be no different, because you wouldn't be any wiser about how much closer the group is to their next major location and so on.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Yeah, by your logic all the seasons would have nothing but gym battles and the regional league. Wonderful viewing, I think not. The fact remains that there's more to the Pokémon series than Ash catching Pokémon (which he does quite rarely), beating gym leaders (of which there are only 8) and occasionally learning new moves (again, rare.)

As much as I could continue to tell you how wrong you are, I trust that I've made my point.

Instead, I can confirm that Ash catches a Pokabu, because here's the 5th episode preview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgROALy7zT8

Yay monkeys.

RE: Best Wishes Episodes

Offtopic: I'm quitting serebii some troll actually made me angry laughing at my opinion. I'm glad Pokebeach is better. Ontopic: Anywho, spoilers ash get's Pokabu i saw the preview and it looks to be a good episode i think ash will win at his first try.

I never implied I wanted the seasons to be just 8 gym battles plus league conference, nor did I say such an outcome would be desirable. In case you misinterpreted my earlier post, what the post was about, was my opinion on what is or isn't considered 'filler' by my personal perception. I never said anything about whether or not there should or shouldn't be fillers. That's up to the anime producers to decide.

Nor did I ever claim that there wasn't anything more to the series than ash catching pokemon (that wasn't even the point of my post in the first place). To assume that would be naive, like saying there is nothing more to Lord of the Rings other than Frodo and Sam.

If you really want to know my opinion on fillers, I feel that the amount of fillers should be such as to provide a balanced overall pacing of the anime series. More importantly all episodes (not just fillers) should at least provide some depth at least, not just a simple chapter where Ash meets generic character of the day and some generic pokemon gets an episode's worth of limelight.
