BW/BW2 Pokemon Black and White U.S Names(guess)

"i didnt say "it will be" i wrote "will be" which is completely different..."
In what universe? It's the same. It's like say I don't want to have chicken tonight and me saying Don't want to have chicken tonight.
It's a good name for it, not disagreeing with it, don't say it will be. just say it might be, or it should be.
Since it's name means death and mask, it would probably be Deathmask over Deathmas to avoid confusion to the younger fan base.

Edit: Might as well do some more

I don't see Lampyro happening, as it totally resembles a chandelier, and the japanese name is "Shandera" which sounds just like chandelier.

Here are my lame names for it xD
-"Chandaunt" (Chandelier + Daunt)
-Chandark (Chandelier + Dark [Also sounds like chant])
-Chantom (Chandelier + Phantom)

That's all I got.

Lame, I know :p But it's 2AM, I'm hungry and tired. So that's the best I got.

I also really love this Pokemon. Def. One of my favorites from the 5th generation.

What the heck i did another one it didn't show up, the other one was chandelit. Lamp works because it's still in the lamp chandelier sort of area.

Lamp is too distant from the Chandelier association and would suit the pre-evolution more appropriately. It would be like calling your car a "vehicle" all the time instead of properly referring to it as a car.

Again what about beedrill, it's body shape is more of a hornet or a wasp compared to a bee, yet it's called beedrill and Primeape has more in common with a baboon, as i said, there is no reason they can't call it that.

'basilisk' (a giant serpent)

Basilisks can be snakes, but are more commonly lizard-like.

I hope the gear family will be called Klink-Klank-Klunk. I don't like those names myself, but it would be fun to say.

I really like Electrey for the electric eel. I think Shandera's English name might be:

Shancida or Chancida--(Chandelier and Aparecida {Spanish for ghost or phantom}). It's pronounced Shan-c-daa (shan: say like chan, the first part of chandelier. The middle, ci, is said like the letter c. Finally, da is just da. Kind of like how some people say 'the'.) Its name could also possibly be Shanacida or Chanacida. Just added an 'a' after 'shan' or 'chan'. Pronounced like: Chan-aa-c-daa with the c sounding like the letter 'c'.

Btw, I don't think Desukann will be phantomb because phantomb sounds a little too much like Spiritomb to me.

@Playerking a baboon is a primate.... And people can mistake a wasp or a hornet for a bee. Maybe GF just wanted a bee that looked menacing.

Another name:

Ganhood/Ganskin/Gangskin = (Gangster/Gang+hood, Gangster/Gang+skin) for Zuruzukin (ganster lizard; second evolution)

Also:

The pokemon is Kirikizan (the one that looks like a red power ranger):
Scivade/Scyvade = (Scythe+Knive+Blade+Evade) pronounced: Sigh-vaydd. Say 'sigh' and then add 'vade', which is said kind of like Darth Vade r.

Hmm. Scivade/Scyvade for the Power Ranger. That sounds pretty cool. Only thing is it sounds sort of like Scyther. Not really sure if Pokemon USA would choose that sort of name, but after the Pidove incident, who knows :p

Not too sure on the pants lizard name though.

Futachimaru: Samurott (from samurai and otter, also 'ott' is a tiny bit like Oshawott)
Chaobuu: Pyrog (from pyro and hog)
Janovy: Anacanopi (from anaconda and canopy)

samurott is an awesome name!! i <3 it!! pyrog is intresting, oshawott all over again.

I heard Shoalion somewhere for Oshawott and Samurott's (that's how I'm referring to it now) evolution Daikenki.

But I did a little research on it, and here's what I've got for it:

Name: Daikenki (Orgin: Dai = Large. Ken refers to a sword. Another is Kenki which means a very skilled swordsman)

Apparently, it's based off of a Sea Lion, Shogun, or Samurai. Or at least carries the characteristics of it. I don't really see much of an otter in this Pokemon though, lol.

Archeos is another cool Pokemon in my opinion. Apparently, it's based off of an Archeopteryx (Hence the suffix "Archeo" in the name "Archeos")
It also seems to be based off the Microraptor, which was a carnivore (like Archeopteryx) and was known to have both wings and arms.

I heard this name earlier in the thread - someone suggested the name "Carneryx" for it. I could see that happening.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the Japanese name staying with this Pokemon. Unless they did some changes to it, I'm kind of stumped what it could be.

Fossil time!

Purotoga: Torstega/Prototle (from Protostega and turtle)
Abagoora: Trashell (from trash-in the context of trashing something, not garbage-, and shell)

Aaken: Micropteryx (from microraptor and archeopteryx)
Archeos: Cheryxeros (corrupted form of archeopteryx)

....I attempted?

P.S Thanks everyone for the positivity to Samurott :D
(Now we just have to hope it's the real name)

I just realized how much Archeos sounds like Arceus when pronounced. I'm guessing they'll change that name, and the root "Arch" won't be used.

that's just being nitpicky over a trivial issue... they're merely called US names because Nintendo of America comes up with the names...
