Pokemon Card Database

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting here, so hopefully this is not against any rules, but I am developing a Pokemon card database in Access 2010 and am using PokeBeach's card scans for the images. First, is it okay to do this so long as I leave the PokeBeach signature in the images? Second, is there someway I can download multiple scans at once (by set, or in batches or something?)

Also, I want to see what people think of what I've done thus far. This is a very time-consuming project because I am learning Access at the same time. However, it would be great if this could benefit other people if possible. It'd be great to get some feedback as to how interested people are in this and what they think. Attached are a few early screenshots of the card search forms. Note that the images are embedded and reduced in size. If I embed all 8,000 or so cards, the database will end up being about 400mb (likely less).

Anyway, let me know your thoughts!

If it were me I would say go for it but I would contact Water Pokemon Master by email and also send him a Personal Message or PM so he gets it through both areas of contact. Usually if you ask for permission to do this it would be fine. I would also use the latest version of the card program if you can update it so you have the current program for running the database. If you can't get it use the program you have currently and find away to update it before you can't get any more updates for the one you have now.:)

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "card program". Do you mean Access 2007 vs. 2010 vs. 2013? I have Access 2010 (it says 2007, but it is 2010).

I'll definitely contact WPM directly and check. Thanks for recommending that!

Yeah if you Have the latest version of Access preferably the 2013 version use that version instead. The other date on your program is the copyright probably the last time the 2010 version was made. Switch to the 2013 version. If there is a 2014 version get that one instead.:)
