Why what's wrong with Rising Rivals? Doesn't anyone realize that a RR-On format next year would result in a decline in SP's and most notably getting rid of the SP Engine with Cyrus's Conspiracy, Energy Gain, Poke Turn, and SP Radar? >_>

I agree with Zero, Mid-Season Rotations are a no-go. Better off not axing Charizard let alone a new deck I'm working on that will hopefully last for 2 seasons. LostGar might get neutered next format If things go the way they should be.
 
The most fair way, in my opinion, to make this card work without being broken is to have a mid-season rotation and make it B&W-On.

I fully agree. However, B/W is due to be printed after Regionals, and before Nationals. I just don't see how they can do that. (But wouldn't be surprised if they do.)

My thought, is they hold B/W until after Worlds, and then print it. After they do that, I wouldn't be surprised if they go B/W-On as the rotation.
 
B/W-On? Are you kidding me? Thats like Base Set And Thats It Guys.

If P!P sticks with what they said last year, we'll get RR-On. In RR-On, not much can abuse Gust like in MD-On (Since we'll lose Kingdra LA, Machamp SF, Gengar SF, Gyarados SF (notice a pattern here?) who would otherwise be the biggest abusers) and we should see a healthier balance. HGSS-On is the ONLY viable alternative, and quite frankly? I can't see them cutting 7 sets. The amount of whine that would cause would deafen the world.
 
If decks Gust of Reprint get popular, VileGar and other decks with Spiritomb and/or Vileplume will be played a lot. Problem solved until everyone realizes Dialga G variants are BDIF.
 
Ya, I also think DialgaChomp will be more popular. Deafen locks Stadium play (Lostgar) and Trainers (SP, Gyarados, some stage 2s). It locks bodys too (LostGar).
 
Also, before GOW is even released, Lost World is likely to come out in February. That will trigger a popularity explosion with many people playing LostGar. Many LostGar decks are likley to have Vileplume, which shuts down 4 of your 8 GOWs.
 
Maybe he's thinking of Unlimited. I made the remark that if they kept the new name, you'd be able to run 8 GOW in Unlimited.... But I still don't understand how it only shuts down 4 of the 8.
 
^No, I think they were talking about Luxray as a substitute GOW. However, that's also faulty, since the max number of Luxray you'll get out is 2 without PokéTurn/Seeker/SSU.
 
You guys are pretty dumb, aren't you? IN UNLIMITED, you would be able to use 4 GOW and 4 Catcher... thus 8 GOW. Vileplume WILL shut off Trainer's Goods cards. I don't know how they will be called in English. Before now, Trainer (Eng) = Goods (Jap). The new name change is very cosmetic as far as the pre-BW cards see. Trainer's Support = Supporters. Trainer's Stadium = Stadium. Trainer's Goods = Goods. It will be different for post-BW cards. If post-BW cards say "all Trainer's Cards", it means Goods, Supporters, and Stadiums. Doing BW-on right now would be REALLY STUPID. We would lose... 11 sets? That would just be bad. As lou said, try going and playing a deck with only Base cards (as BW is effectively Base Set 3). You will not see much diversity. Right now, we have many forms of engines... KEEP IT THAT WAY KIDDIES
 
@Lou Cypher, that too, although my point is you get to use it twice without any other help. And you only get to use Aaron's if it gets KO'd.

And on a side note, I don't believe they should change the names of the Trainer cards, but if retroactive wordings take place on cards like Spiritomb that block Trainers then we'll be fine.

This kidlet did not know the ruling on Vileplume. He was misguided and made a false statement based on false information. Also, I meant the insult as players on PB as a whole (especially the kidlet who caused a bunch of spam on a false claim)... you are one of the few intelligent ones here Lou >.<
 
I agree that it should be held until after worlds, but I don't think that it will be BW-on because of the lack of cards. I mean, come on. only have HGSS for one rotation? That would be ridiculous.
