Back to the topic at hand. Albeit some of the designs are rather....bland(let's just put it that way.), I'm personally loving the paldean wooper/clodsire products!

I agree. That's not the direction I was trying to go, I was just trying to voice my criticism of the designs of the new merch. Somehow that turned into me feeling like I had to defend myself. Lol
That being said, the background on that wooper/clodsire is awesome! I just wish the Pokemon were more involved in the "environment" of the background. The style of most of the modern stuff all has this clip art, copy/paste look to it. I mean, it's Pokémon, but it doesn't look like it was designed by somebody who has passion in the subject matter, it ends up looking more like something just thrown together just to have more merch to offer. I'm not mad that it's an option for people, it's just not my style.
To be completely fair I may be a stickler for cussing lol, just seems unprofessional especially in a forum millions use everyday. I can see that clipart feel, as most of the time it's just a gradient background (or basic enviorment) with clodsire. I think I know exactly what your looking for btw, but it's in the category of card sleeves. Japanese card sleeves made by the pokemon company are more likely to have the feel you expect. yes! those are great examples of a style that i can get behind! it looks like it has more "life" to it! and those postcards have their own unique vibe but the each piece flows together like a whole scene so much better! thanks for sharing!
