BW/BW2 Pokemon Conquest Passwords and Episode Announcements Thread

Gamestop.com has announced that if you pre-order Pokemon Conquest at Gamestop, PowerUp Rewards members will receive passwords for five Pokemon.
The Pokemon are:
Lapras
Emolga
Riolu
Scyther
Pikachu

What are your thoughts on this pre-order bonus? Is it worth pre-ordering at Gamestop for an extra five dollars? Pokemon Conquest is $34.99 at Gamestop, and $29.99 at Target and BestBuy(and probably other stores too).

Doesn't really seem worth it to me. They should have gave out something else like a poster or carrying case.

Well I have always liked Scyther and Lapras so for me it'd be worth it.:)

Someone would probably just pre-order Conqest at Gamestop, get the passwords and post them online, anyways.

Exactly. The codes won't be unique, as I doubt there's anyway to verify that sort of thing. But if I were preordering Conquest, I'd put up the extra $5 simply because I have credit.

I pre-ordered Conquest a few months ago.
Does that mean I'll get the codes for those guys, even though it was before the bonus was announced?

Yup, I've preordered plenty of games before their bonus was announced and I got them.

A few months ago? Didn't pre-orders for Pokemon Conquest start in April?

Not sure, but if so, April is two months past from June, which is in two days. Sure, possibly less than two months, but significantly over one. Sounds better to go with "a few".

I don't remember exactly when I pre-ordered it. It was in either March or April, that much I know. I think it was late March.

I preordered KH:352/7 something like 4 months in advance and the preorder bonus didn't get announced till the month before and I still got it, so you'll be fine.

Games that usually have Monday release dates, tend to just be shipping on Monday, and arrive in stores the next day on Tuesday. Target, Toys"R"US and BestBuy all say on their websites that Pokemon Conquest will be released on Monday, June 18th 2012. BestBuy even says on their website that if you pre-order now, you will be able to pick up the game on Monday, 6/18/2012. Maybe they will ship Pokemon Conquest early so that it can make it to all the stores on that Monday, June 18, 2012. We won't know for sure until that Monday.

Gamestop always releases their games on Tuesday.

Except for when it's on Friday or Sunday. :p

But yeah, this is the case with everything released on Monday.

Not entirely, I suppose. But look at this way: One-use codes like the BW Lucario and Nintendo Points Cards are kept track of by a big server, in those cases, the Global Link and DSi Shop, respectively. Something like the codes in Platinum weren't unique because they weren't being tracked by anything.

I'm not certain of Conquest's Wi-Fi functionality, but I doubt it includes connecting to a big server keeping track of inputted codes.

Hehe, I should have mentioned this first: http://serebii.net/conquest/passwords.shtml lists a lot of Japanese codes. I really doubt they're unique in this case.
