I'm looking to hire 1-2 new mods on our Pokemon Online server. With the amount of work I've had to do both here and my real job, there are times when I'm not as attentive to what is going on our Pokemon Online Server.

What does a Pokemon Online Server Moderator do?

Our Pokemon Online Moderators make sure the chat is kept no more than a PG rating. Certain words are automatically blocked. They also make sure all the Pokemon Online rules are followed. The list of rules can be found here.

Moderators also assist members in answers questions that are asked in chat or in private. Moderators try and provide good customer service and refer members to our forums.

On some occasions the Smogon Tour has taken place on our server. If one starts and is going to be on our server, please assist the tournament director if they ask for it.

Just a general nitpick, in the future, can portal announcements be written formally? Not like spelling errors or anything, but writing without Me/I makes reading news a bit more smooth.

Since I haven't received any applications in over 72 hours I am ending applications now. I will post who gets the spots later today.
 
After reviewing all the applications the following two people have been selected: [member]Dark Void[/member] and [member]makiri[/member]

Dark Void is very active on the server. He also has some leadership experience and has helped other sites grow.

Makiri is someone you might not know much if you don't go on Smogon. He was a moderator on Smogon for five years. Makiri also won the World Cup in 2010 and 2011. He also has several great finishes in VGC.

Congrats to both of you.

I expected DV because he was a mod while KA was away, and he did an excellent job at it.

Makiri is someone I've heard of, but never met. Congrats! : )
