Pokemon Pokemon Pet Peeves: Video Game Edition

I agree with the forms. Giratina origin I'll let it slide cause that makes sense. Same with Shaymin. The new Mewtwo kinda pissed me off. Mewtwo is a creation. He's not supposed to have formes.
 
Gen 4 adding about 30 evolutions at once.
People who only accpet Gen 1 and maybe 2,
Gen 4's art in general :L

Any random pokemon that doesn't evolve. And has bad stats. Or anything.
ie. Dunsparce, Corsola, Zangoose-Seviper, etc.

Luvdisc and Alomomola.

The only formes (excluding non-legendaries) that make sense story-wise are Giratina (changes its body in its own world), Kyurem formes (taking back the power it used to have) and Arceus (as the God of Pokemon, it stands to reason that it could be any type that it created). (Rotom also makes sense due to it inhabiting different electronic items, only put here because its legendary status is debatable)
I don't actually see Shaymin's forme making that much sense, I mean why would a grass hedgehog critter have the need to take to the air?
If Mewtwo is a creation, surely it makes sense (at least, a lot more than the Kami trio's Therian formes) that the same scientists that created him could change his being to be better suited at physical attacks etc, since he is supposed to be the strongest Pokemon.
 
Rotom isn't a legendary. Rotom is breedable. Or are you using a different definition of legendary? :p

I hated how Ditto was in an egg group with Ditto but couldn't breed with Ditto :p

So you don't count Manaphy and Phione as legendaries?
 
Phione's legendary status is debatable; in a mailbag question on Pokemon.com it was asked once if Phione was a legendary. The inital answer was no, but was changed to yes.
It was stated that it isn't a legendary in the HG/SS Guide Book.
In Ranger 3, it has no traits of a legendary Pokemon (rarity etc)
In PMD Time, Darkness and Sky, it is never battled, has a 100% recruitment rate, and only one can be obtained. All traits of a Legendary.
It's banned from the PWT, Subway, and Frontier. This only usually applies to legendary Pokemon.

The reason why I asked, is because you said Rotom isn't a Legendary, because it can breed but Manaphy and Phione can too...
 
But you can't breed a Manaphy Egg. Phione and Rotom eggs are possible. You have to be only able to obtain one, so that rules out Ditto for being legendary.
 
There's an NPC in BW that offers to trade you their Rotom for your Ditto. NPCs trading you legendaries never happens.
 
It's always bothered me that most trainers only have one type of pokémon. I'd like to see more trainers that carry a wider variety of pokémon.
 
Ace trainers have more than one type. Though I do t hunk the AI could be a little more realistic.

I don't mind the new forms, it gives more diversity when battling people.

I dislike, Mewtwo's new form. In hoping the movie has a good reason for why he changes like that. I just don't understand why his tail went to his head... I'm excited to see the "mew" form, but if it looks like mew with a tail on its head, I'm going to hate it.

Also it annoys me that they take away features from some games when transitioning to the next. Like why let our pokemon follow us in HG/SS and then not include that in any other game? (Aside yellow) Contests? BF? Why mess with a good thing.
 
My biggest gripe was when two awesome features on HGSS didn't make it into BW.

Firstly, the when-you're-near-water-you-can-hear-it thing in HGSS was fantastic! But they took that out of BW...

And then the wonderful menu that was always open on the bottom screen, with shortcut buttons for the bike and running shoes in HGSS was taken out and replaced with the cruddy C-Gear of which I have used a grand total of 2 times!

Such a shame. :l
 
I hated in HGSS how the screen shtuff was on the bottom screen. I will always prefer how they had it in BW.

I hated everything about Gen IV.
 
Oh that's a good one! The C-Gear! What a pile of junk that was. It was completely useless. Everything you do on it could have been merged with a Pokemon center. HG/SS had a wonderfully laid out interface that you didn't have to stop and scroll down a list for. It kept the albeit steady pace of the game going. Even the Poketech was somewhat useful.
 
I just didn't like HGSS especially. I hated the Pokemon walking with you thing. *dodges projectiles*
