General Pokemon Shuffle

Hmm, Regirock is turning into a little nightmare. I have defeated it 3 times, but I don't seem to be able to capture it. Not even with Great Ball. And it's only a few days left to get it.

If I don't get it, I really hope it will return soon, like Mega Lucario has and the Rotom Forms did.

Same with Mega Blastoise and Mega Banette. I didn't get among the 10000 European winners on any of them. It's a bit unfair: I think they should have had Top 15000 in Europe, too, like Mega Lucario is/was. I would've won the Mega Stones then. After all, there are a lot of European Shuffle players.

If you have seen just how many more US and Japan players there are you'll see exactly why Europe gets less.

Yeah, Japan is self-explanatory!
But..., I guess there are more Shuffle players in US, but twice as many as in Europe? I really don't think so, but never mind.
Still, since there are more than 3,5 million downloads worldwide, I really think Nintendo should give Europe (at least a little) more chances. Maybe US, too... (though not as many in Europe)!

There are a lot of small countries in Europe that make up the Land mass. I'd honestly expect about twice as many US players

All this new stuff and no posts in a month? Shuffle thread I am disappoint.

So I missed out on Venusaurite because I'm not an ultra nerd with 99999 coins and/or enough powerups to make getting a high score a breeze (plus all my super effective pokes were like level 4-6 so I'm sure that was a factor as well).

Having fun with Giratina. Caught it at level 19, working on maxing it out now. Level 42. It's person. Using a team of Mega Gengar, Giratina, Zoroark, and Liepard. Liepard is decent early on when Giratina starts making blocks, but he really starts pulling his weight at 40+ when Giratina starts making metal blocks as well. Ironically, Giratina has been one of the most important players because Power of 4+ does absurd damage to ghosts. Zoroark's Sinister Power is kinda neat, but I might try switching to Yveltal for the last few levels just because my Yveltal is stronger.

What do you guys think of the new mega levels and mega powerups? Kinda neat, but I'll probably save them for next month's contest because RIP home menu exploit.

I did get the Venusaurite, but I didn't place as high as normal because the disruptions were just so bad and not having my team leveled super high. I didn't catch Giratina til level 30. If you have Banette's Mega Stone, it can work well in Giratina's stage one you get to level 40 because of clearing all of a single Pokemon that is a ghost type. I've been using Mega Banette, Gengar, Chandelure, and Yveltal.

Does anyone still play this game?
Pokemon Shuffle has been designed such that there are distinct tiers of power. I sorted out the current pokemon into base power groups and adjusted according to effectiveness of their ability - Obviously a 40 Base with a good ability will be better then 40 base with Opportunist.

Pokemon are listed as - Shuffle Dex Number/Name/Base Power/Ability/ Type . If there are some errors, where different pokemon with the same ability and power are in different groups let me know :).
If you think something is in the wrong group - comment why!

These tiers might be useful to set challenges in Shuffle and make the game more difficult

Today I finally defeated level 50 of Giratina's stage. I had to resort to using Disruption Delay and +5 Moves and even then I barely beat it. A tip I have is that Pokemon with Eject will not work for that battle.

I defeated Giratina lv. 50 with no powerups but I needed like 15 tries. I heard you get another candy when you reach level 100 but no way I'm doing that as I would need to resort to powerups on every level and 100 would probably still be impossible. lol
Level 1-49 were a breeze though.

Chesnaught seems pretty hard to get a good % for... It's not hard to combo but it has so many HP.

I, too, cleared Giratina L50 with no items. Level 50 is stupid.

You do indeed get another Mega Speedup for clearing L100. If your Pokemon are max level or close to it, getting there isn't too hard. I still can't wrap my head around how people can grind out 10-15k coins a day and then have like 500 level 10 pokes. Jesus.

I totally forgot that there are extra EX stages past Mewtwo. I just recently S-ranked the first 150, so I'm just grinding out coins so I can afford to buy the items needed to S-rank the extra normal stages, never mind that even with infinity coins, ain't nothing gonna fix my low rank problem except grinding out Buneary, Ampharos, Snorlax, or Victini.

Does anyone know how much EXP Victini gives? I used an exp boost on him and everyone leveled up like three times.

You can grind Meowth fairly easily with only 1 Fighting pokemon, so you can also level up 3 other pokes while getting money. After level 5 takes considerable time for less gain so ive found its best to only grind levels to 5, then get level 5 -10 through actually playing - going for S ranks etc.

I had a Pokemon go from level 7 to 8 when I used the exp x 1.5 last week if that gives you any indiciation.

Seems like Tangrowth is the next obstacle stage. Of course when I was on my last heart I changed my mega to Kangaskhan but it didn't save it so I was stuck with Glalie and consequently, failed.

Tangrowth is really easy. You just need to create a 3-combo preferably on the first turn (switch the two 2-rows in the middle of the stage that creates a 3 combo) and Tangrowth will attack with Tangrowths that clears all Tangrowths from the stage. Tangrowth.

Sorry for the double post but this is pretty helpful and everyone should know it.

Appreciate this! Had planned to work it out in the near future but now i dont have to :)

Any indication on how many icons "Mega Boost" fills up?

EDIT: Never mind, As assumed Mega Boost just appears to count as if that pokemon was the mega.
So match 4 to mega boost gives +4 icons to mega evolve

This morning's update contains a stage where Manaphy can be captured. Every few turns it causes some ice block disruptions to appear. 1000 coins are earned the first time you defeat it. It seems a new safari has also been added, hopefully no Pokemon will be as rare as Sharpedo was the last time they pulled this. So far I've seen Electrike once, Darmanitan twice, and Stantler twice.

I already got Manaphy and all 5 of the new safari pokemon. I actually used only 5 hearts on the new pokemon safari, so I caught each of the pokemon in the first attempt. Perhaps the encounter rates for the safari pokemon are more balanced. Did anyone else find the new pokemon safari kind of easy?

Caught Manaphy after using Mega Start and Disruption Delay. Swap+ is kinda cool, but not particularly powerful.

Ran into Darumaka, Stantler, and Electrike so far in the safari.

Mega Boost always gives 3 icons worth of Mega Meter, regardless of the amount matched. So, if you matched 4 and got Mega Boost, you'd get 4+3 icons worth of Mega Meter, or 7 in total.

8 Hearts on it and ive only seen the 3 common ones. You must have been lucky
