OoC: Aaahhhh... mlouden03, there is a specific PLOT-CENTRIC reason as to why they are not Poke Balls. You'll find out soon though.

"Sure." He takes a Poffin form Chase's hand and gives it to Typhoon who gobbles it down. "Guess that battle made him a little hungry. Although I'd probably be the same way after a battle like that."

"You can read the Earth?" Raul finally spoke up, taking the cigarette out of his mouth and holding it inbetween 2 fingers by his side.
"But you are right. Soon we will be deployed somewhere around the world to fight off the Reds. I'm looking forward to it"

A young boy ran into the World Avengers HQ, looking slightly sleepy. His hair was very curly and messy, but usually it was only like this in the morning.
"Am I late, am I late?!" he half-yelled running right into Professor Willow.
The boy was about 13, had brown hair and eyes, and wore glasses. He seemed to have a slightly sad look on his face that never left.
Finally, he seemed to have really woken up.
"Uhm, erm, hi... I'm Dan..." he said, obviously very embarrassed.
"Well, Dan... just pick your starter pokemon, and then have a seat." Professor Willow said, very annoyed.
"Uhm, yeah... ok..." he kind of whispered as everyone stared at him. "I'll choose Charmander!" He said defiantly trying to be normal. He never felt like he could fit in.
Professor Willow gave him Charmander, and he sat down all by himself.
*I guess I'll never fit in ever again. Especially after most of my family died*

Raul watched the young late arrival with a look of distaste.
"We must be hard pressed for good recruits" he said, shaking his head. "How are we ever going to beat the Reds when our troops aren't even shaving yet?"
He sat back down on the bench and took a quick drag from his cigarette. Maybe there's some plan behind having so many young faces, or maybe all the of age troops were already sent home in coffins.

The World Avengers

Dec suddenly woke up. Woah! How did that happen? I guess I must be tired. Dec saw Professor Willow/Maple (OoC: Sorry, can't remember) staring at him, and he slowly walked up to the table. He could feel everyone's eyes following him. Dec was torn between what Pokemon to choose. Piplup? Or Snivy? Actually, I have a plan. "I choose Snivy!" Dec announced loudly. He quickly grabbed the PokeCube and hurried back to his seat. A kid next to him (NPC) asked, "I thought you liked water Pokemon!" Dec had an answer ready. "Well yeah, I do. But I really want a Kingdra. I've always admired its calm and collected personality and its wide variety of powerful attacks. And two water Pokemon in the same team is nearly worthless." Dec finished, and, with nothing else to do, wandered over to the battle. A bit shyly, he said, "Hi. My name's Dec."
