Introduction​

Hi there! After lots of hard work I can proudly present the beginning of a new fangame - Pokemon Hope Version. You may think that I should've waited to post this thread, because the game is still in what I'd like to refer to as "Phase I" 3). But that's actually the excact reason why I decided to post this thread so early on.

I need help from you!​

Story/Plot​

As I mentioned in the introduction I'm still in Phase I, and therfor I haven't planned out a (good) story or plot yet. That's also why I decided to post this thread so early on, yadayadayada. I have a few thoughts in the back of my head, but they will not be mentioned at this stage of development.​

UPDATE​

​

- I've changed the mascot from Treecko to Chikorita mostly because I don't think I'll include pokemon from the 3. or 4. gen. in the game (and because Chikorita is adorable :3). We'll see.


- I didn't want to set the bar to low nor to high, so I've decided that we'll include around 50+ brand new fakemons in the game. This may change.


- Last but not least. New battle system graphics! This took a lot longer than I expected. Enjoy!

this looks like it will be funny and verry interesting....

Tossing out a few things for consideration:
-New terrain? RSE only made a small desert, so to expand on that as a very huge route would be very interesting (not to mention the amount of sandstorm wearing down on endurance).
-Evil Organization? Or perhaps some other conflict?
-Rival. Probably going to have one, but personality? ;o
-Politics?

I really like your way of thinking, Zy. I'll go trough your ideas one by one. :3

Some variety from the official games would be great, and a new terrain for the player to experience is exactly that. I like it, and I think we could nail it pretty nicely.

Hmm. I don't want to recreate the official games or make the game to cliche, but we need some evilness. Maybe if they've got a good motif (correct word?) for doing what they're doing.

-Rival. Probably going to have one, but personality? ;o

We definitely need some kind of rival. Even though I don't want to recreate the official games, there are some elements we just have to include. :3 And yes, he needs a unique personality (if that's what you meant? x3).

-Politics?

I don't know about this part. It would be interesting (and unique :3), but I've really no idea how can include it.

The word is motive, not motif (which is a recurring idea). And the politics was a joke. ;D

As far as I can think of, the landscapes not yet made are:
-Savanna/Desert
-Jungle/Swamps
-Civilized Tunnels (as in underground cities, not counting the ones under sea RSE. More like those under mountains mountains)
There's probably a few I'm missing right now.

Well, once we think of good motive, I suppose I can start plot making.
