Welcome to Pokemon Trading!

In the Pokemon Trading Forum, you can...
  • Battle and Trade with other players, casually
  • Look for Pokemon you want to trade for, trade away Pokemon you don't want, and negotiate trades.
  • Look for items you want to trade for and trade away items.
  • Have your own thread for wins and losses, battle reports, chit-chat, etc.

--------
Procedures to get started:
--------

To get started, you MUST make your own "My Player" thread. To do so, follow the instructions below.
  1. Create a new thread.
  2. Read the rules, which will be found later in this post.
  3. See below the Forum Rules for an example "My Player" Thread.
  4. Remove sections you do not want to deal with (such as items for trade), add sections, make notes, personalize your thread - do whatever you want, just keep the basics, such as your AIM and your Friend Code
  5. Try to make the thread look like the example "My Player" thread below the Rules.

--------
Forum Rules:
--------
  1. All standard PokeBeach forum rules apply, with some exceptions, which will be listed below.
  2. The only forum rule which is all of you are exempted from in this forum only is General Rule Number Three, where you can revive your own (only) My Player thread if you have any updates. Reviving is posting in a thread that has no replies for two weeks.
  3. You may bump your trade thread once per day, and 3 times total a week. Saying "I pmed you." or "Update!" both count as bumps. Deleting a post and replacing it with “bump” or anything that qualifies as a bump counts as two bumps (one for the deleted post, and one for the new post). If you are caught abusing the bump system, you will receive a warning
  4. You can only have a "My Player" thread inside this forum. All other threads will be moved. If you have any questions regarding Wi-Fi problems, use "Gaming Discussion". If you would like to battle, please go to the "Battle Now!" forum.
  5. Each member is only allowed to have ONE "My Player" thread at any time. Any member caught breaking this rule will be banned.
  6. If you would like to recreate a new "My Player" thread because the previous one was extremely messy, please report your thread but clicking the "report" button on the bottom right-hand corner of a post in your thread and get it locked by a moderator BEFORE creating a new thread.
  7. Please try to create your "My Player" thread in a format similar to the Example "My Player" thread at the end of the post.
  8. If you use cheating devices such as Action Replay, please read this thread.
  9. When you make an update and post about it, please specify what Pokemon or items you added or removed.
  10. This forum is only for My Player threads, where you list all the Pokemon that you want or want to trade off, in a proper format, something like WPM's example. If you make more than one My Player Thread, you will be banned. If you make a thread that is not a My Player Thread, you will be banned. Also, you are allowed to revive your My Player threads even after it is dead for two weeks.
  11. IVs/Nature/EVs (if any) are mandatory for every Hacked and Competitive Pokemon (IV Bred, etc.). This way, people don't have to ask constantly. To find out your IVs, see http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx
  12. If any Pokemon are Nicknamed, it's required that you say what the Nickname is before confirming a trade. Also, list the language of any Pokemon if they're not English.
  13. If you have any questions regarding the rules, post in this thread.

RE: Rules with Cheating Devices (Read after making your thread)

Rules with Cheating Devices

Cheating will most likely be encountered in any large group of people, so let's lay down a couple of clear ground rules so that we do not have to run into any future problems and possibly ban some people. :)

RULES:
1. If you have used a cheating device on any Pokemon, or obtained a Pokemon through a trade that was cheated in some way, you must specify what you did to it and make completely clear how it was cheated when trading it or battling with it.

2. It is not suggested that you trade any cheated Pokemon. If you do, you will only be allowed to do so a limited number of times. If we see you trading cheated Pokemon like there is no tomorrow, we will have to shut you down.

3. It is okay to battle with cheated Pokemon, ONLY IF your opponent agrees and you make it completely clear what you did. HOWEVER, when it comes to earning points for competitive or restrictive battles, or against PokeBeach gym leaders and others, enhancing or creating any Pokemon with a cheating device will not be permitted under any circumstances. In other words, any cheated Pokemon are not allowed in battles where you will earn points toward wins and losses and future prizes. Cheated Pokemon should only be used for battle when you just want to play for fun, or test out something (basically, anything "just for fun").

4. The Emerald cloning trick is not considered cheating. Since it is only a duplication of an existing Pokemon, it's not so much "I am too lazy or lack time to raise a Pokemon, so I am going to clone it," but more like "I want to trade these rare or powerful Pokemon with others that I put work into so that other people can have them as well." HOWEVER, in trading any Emerald duplicated Pokemon, you must indicate that it was cloned. If it is a duplication of a cheated Pokemon, you must specify when trading or battling, and like with regular cheated Pokemon, it will not be permitted in battles that are worth points.

Bottom line: If you did anything to a Pokemon you know you cannot do simply with your DS and D/P or your Gameboy and R/S/E/FR/LG, specify in complete detail and make clear what you did.

CONSEQUENCES:
Anyone who is caught trading cheated Pokemon who have not made it explicitly clear that they are cheated or enhanced or duplicated will be banned from these forums. Anyone who trades cheated Pokemon excessively will be given a warning, then banned if it continues in large amounts. Anyone who battles in a match that is worth points, or anyone who battles another without specifying that they are using cheated Pokemon and what they did to them, will be banned from these forums.

FUTURE NOTE:
There will undoubtedly be official Pokemon tournaments in the future, such as the JAA Events. PokeBeach will not support cheating during these events. If a PUSA member happens to contact us and we see that the Pokemon you traded for or battled with here were cheated and are the same Pokemon you used at the official events, our mouths will not be closed. We do not permit cheating during battles here that are worth points, and we expect you to hold the same rules and values in real life for tournaments where you will win items. It is dishonest and lazy to use cheated Pokemon during battles that are worth something, and if you do not have the time to raise legitimate Pokemon, then you should not even be playing in an official tournament. 'nuff said.

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

Also, has the reputation been done away with?

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

I agree with the natures rule, as I always have to ask that, but I disagree strongly with the IVs rule. NO ONE HAS ASKED ME FOR IVS, plus I dont want to check all my 100+ pokemon on my thread. I say only put IVs if the pokemon is competitive.

please consider my post (and I have other traders supporting me on this)

I would agree with that, I am about to start a thread here I only have competative pokemon. I still don't understand the point of hacking and trading hacked pokemon. I mean if you can hack, why trade? I would really like to see legit pokemon on here.

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

Yes, reputations are gone.

And unfortunately guys, people hack Pokemon. It's a sad truth, but many people do it and I can't exclude a whole group of people (PMJ hack trades for one). Nobody is forcing you guys to trade with them you know? The rule stays. I may change the mandatory IVs for only hacked/competitive Pokemon but it would have been better had you specified that, ace11. -_-

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

People that are big into the metagame care about IVs. Not so much event/shiny collectors or people that want such-and-such for dex data reasons. Plus for people that have large collections like mine, posting every single IV is not only time-consuming, but it's also pointless. I have a lot of level 1 and level 5 Pokemon, not to mention Pokemon that have unknown EVs, so getting their IVs just doesn't make sense.
Making IVs and EVs mandatory for competative, IVd, and IVd-natured Pokemon would be the best way to go.
Also, hacked Pokemon can be made to have realistic IVs, and legitly bred/RNGed Pokemon can have near- or even perfect IVs.

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

I also suggest HIGHLY that we make a rule that says something like "you must state if a pokemon is nicknamed, and what that nickname is, and you must state if the pokemon is not English, and tell which language it is."

That would lessen questions from me.

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

Updated the rules.

can we bump our thread like in the tcg section?

RE: *** Global Terminal Rules - Read before posting ***

Yeah, you can bump it. The same bumping rules apply (one per day, three per week).

u have closed most of my thread but i dont know how to make a thread because i dont get it plz help me make my right

What is really hard to get? There's an example My Player thread right in the post. You can use that as a template. List every single Pokemon you have for trade and specific Pokemon you want and you should be fine. If you don't have enough Pokemon, just use the Trade Now sticky for faster trades.

The only way would be to put it in your Signature.

I thought I read some where that you can't post three times in a row. If this is a rule please post yes if it is not a rule please post no

^It is called bumping. You can only bump on Monday, and you can't bump more than three times a day/week (I might be wrong, someone correct me)
