Hi everyone

I've done quite a few Fakemon, and I've decided to start my own game:

Here is the blurb:
Travel to the mystic, tropical Shirodia region, encounter lots of brand new Pokemon, as well as some new evolutions of old favorites. Do you have what it takes to become the Champion of Shirodia? Find out in Pokemon Sunset Version!

So, the region will be called Shirodia, which comes from the words Shiro, Japanese for white, and Dia, from the word Diamond. So, in essence, the name means White Diamond.

The starters will be:
Dolphduo, the Little Dolphin Pokemon (comes from the words Dolphin, and the duo comes from the French word two, and the 'o' is added, making the name mean Dolphin H2O).

Honotoise, the Fire Shell Pokemon (comes from the words Hono, Japanese for Fire, and Tortoise, making the name mean Fire Tortoise).

Semilino, the Seed Rhino Pokemon (comes from the words semilla, Spanish for seed, and rhino, making the name mean Seed Rhino)

Some new Pokemon will include: Scaracomb (comes from the word Scarab, as in Scarab Beetle, and Comb, coming from Combat). It will be an evolution of Heracross.

Vinabell, which is another evolution of Weepinbell (the name comes from the words Vine, and Bell).

Right now what I need is Fakemon. When there is about 100 I will make a Pokedex.

The bump has arrived.

I shall now give out names for the Evos of the starters.

Dolphduo shall evolve at lv.15, into Dolphice, then at lv.30 into Orcean.

Honotoise shall evolve at lv.14, into Tamborise, then at lv.31 into Vesuvia.

Semilino shall evolve at lv.16, into Vinoceros, then at lv.29 it will become a Bloomino.

The Gym Leaders are:

1. Stephanie (Steel)
2. Incise (Ice)
3. Buddy (Grass)
4. Winny (Flying)

Yes, there are only 4 Gym Leaders :O.

....And here are the other 4 Gym Leaders.

5. Nyght (Dark (Pronounced N-I-G-H-T))
6. Burnard (Fire)
7. Joltein (Electric)
8. Psychina (Psychic)

Another feature will be restaurants- Your character will have to eat. Pokemon will be able to have food, but that only raises/lowers its Happiness depending whether it likes it or not.

Also, similar to PMD2, when TMs have been used, they become Used TMs, and you can take them to Recycling Centers to make them into items such as Hard Stone, Poison Barb.... Depending on the type of the TM.

Also, Move Tutors will require Used TMS, more of them depending on the power of the move.

Threads like these shouldn't be allowed unless there is obvious there is significant ongoing work. Any shmuck can make a thread saying come visit Region X and capture this many new Pokemon of these new types. here are some examples: blah blah blah new evolutions blah blah blah gym leaders blah blah team fillintheblank.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: The game is now called Pokemon Twilight Version.

Now for some storyline:

One stormy night, your character (either Harry or Luna) has a dream. In this dream, a mysterious figure walks up to the shadow of a Pokemon that appears to be Lightark, the enigmatic Legend that is stated to keep day and night in balance. As the figure starts talking, a shout from downstairs wakes you up. Your family pet Growlithe had tried to 'help' your mom hang the washing, and ripped the best tablecloth in the process. After breakfast, your character goes to play with his friend, who continually boasts about his starter Pokemon. After he refuses to show it, your character goes to get one of his own. Then, after a battle with your friend/rival, your character sets out on his journey.

I liked Sunset better. Anything with the name twilight now makes me want to gauge my eyes out. But, that's just me

I see where you're coming from, but as the game will be changing from Light to Dark, I decided to change it to 'where it is neither light nor dark'.

Also, Lightark will be a Dark/Fighting Pokemon.

Anyway, the evil team will be named Team Dusk. They have their sights set on using Lightark to threaten the citizens of Shirodia, forcing them to pay 1500 PokeDollars each. When the player thwarts them, the Leader realizes what shes done wrong, and gives you the Twilight Globe to obtain Lightark with. I'll also try and get a sketch of Lightark and the Tower Trio up later. (The Tower Trio are like the Lake Guardians from DPP).

I will help you with the artwork and some other things in the game, if you tell me "little" more of the game. More storyline, Pokemons, and something. :)

The Pokemon are your bog-standard Pokemon, nothing special. (I'll design the Legendaries though).

The reason you have to keep bumping this thread is because no one cares. How long have you been working on this game? I could probably spend an hour and be as far as you. You have no images, no screenshots, absolutely nothing but words, which means... nothing.

PMJ....shut up..its called "constructive" critisizm for a reason, not just putting him down, how you became a mod ill never know but i suggest you cool it a bit.

You are missing the point, ace.

Everything I said is 100% true. Here are a examples to support this:

link As far as fake games go, this is probably the best example we have. This is more than just a bunch of words. Actual work has been put into this. The creator has something to show for himself instead of a bunch of paragraphs any shmuck can write. Notice how there are consistent comments throughout, up until the creator stopped posting. Not once did he say "man, why isn't anyone posting?" or anything to that effect. Why? Because he didn't have to.

link A lesser example, but it's clear work is still being put into this. Note that there is a team of people working on this; if you are in need of spriters, artists, and programmers, then you should probably not post saying you're making a game.

And now, some examples of why I'm right:

link There's a banner, but other than that, it's just words. This guy is also in need of spriters, programmers, and artists, which means he has nothing but an idea.

link This guy has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. Unlike the above link, where the author obviously has something resembling a plan, this guy doesn't even have his own ideas sorted out! There's no structure.

The point is not to put down, or bash, or flame, or whatever you think my previous post was. No one wants to read huge walls of text about your fakedex in your fakeregion where you take on the fakebadguys and become the fakechampion. You want to get people psyched about your game? Show people you're going somewhere with it. Post some screenshots. Even beta stuff is fine.

Also, how I became a mod has been lost to history since no one is around anymore who actually knows the story ;D

yeah, i know, i helped work on pokemon rose, bela hasnt replied to much for a while, but this is fan creations, the dudes asking for help, i personally like what he has so far so just wait to see what happens.
