Klingklang BW has an ability called Shift Gear that says, "As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Metal Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to another of your Pokémon."
Hydreigon from NV has an ability called Dark Aura that says, "All Energy attached to this Pokémon are Dark Energy instead of their usual type."
And PorygonZ from PLB has an abilitiy called Plasma Transfer that says "As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Plasma Energy attached to 1 of your Pokémon to another of your Pokémon."

So here is my question. Let's say I have a basic metal energy attached to Klingklang, and I use his ability to attach it to Hydreigon. It is now a dark energy. Can I move it again with Shift Gear? Shift Gear can only move metal energies, but since it is attached to Hydreigon, it is now a dark energy.

On the same topic, what about PorygonZ? Let's say I use Plasma Transfer to move a Plasma Energy to Hydreigon. It is now a dark energy. Does it still count as a Plasma Energy as well? Does it still count as a Special Energy? Can I move it with Plasma Transfer, even though it is a dark energy while it is attached to Hydreigon?

No you can't. Since the card in question is no longer a {M} Energy, Shift Gear cannot move it.

Yes you can. Plasma Energy isn't a type - it's the name of the card itself. You can move it after being attached to Hydreigon, even though its type is changed. (If moved off of Hydreigon, it still reverts to its usual type of {C}.)

You can no longer move the metal energy with shift gear once attached to that hydreigon, as it no longer counts as a metal energy. However, you can still move it with porygon Z since it's still a plasma energy as it's a special energy and does not lose that distinction.

As such, enhanced hammer will still discard it while attached to hydreigon.

Ninja'd. Phone too slow.
