--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My very first complete list of this deck, could use some feedback as it's nowhere near perfect.
**CREATOR'S NOTES: I opted out of Pokemon Fan Club and used the Timer/Nest ball engine instead to increase consistency while setting up (I believe this way is optimal over PFC). I preferred to use minimal/no techs to maximize consistency. I feel too many techs prevents the deck from functioning effectively and consistently in many matchups.
2-2 Zoroark-GX: Great draw support in a format that could be lacking some., and I see Zoroark gaining popularity next season due to this. Also, a great attacker. Very versatile (only needs a DCE), and can hit hard, especially in a deck where we'll have a lot of Pokemon on the bench. In my opinion, by far the best partner for Decidueye.
3 Tapu Lele-GX: Do I need to explain? Three Lele is the play, no more, no less. Well, maybe less, but I feel three provides the needed consistency for SUM-on.
1 Mount Lanakila: One of the very few "techs" in this deck (If you'd call it such). Assuming you get your Rowlets and Zoruas up, this only makes life harder on your opponent. Having this in play makes your opponent's Pokemon much less mobile, by adding a single energy to all their retreat costs, allowing Decidueye to sit and and do work with a Guzma. I could easily take this card out, it was an open slot. If in testing this card proves to serve it's worth, I could make room for two. However, I've never tested this idea in a game, just on paper (and on paper it seems good, but you know how that can turn out!)
3 Guzma: Definitely no less, as Guzma is a very powerful and manipulative card and is even stronger in this deck by pulling out something with a heavy retreat cost and milking your Decidueyes' abilities over consecutive turns. I tried for four copies, however, I couldn't find room.
2 Mallow: More draw support, great synergy w/ Zoroark-GX's ability. Enough said.
4 Nest Ball, 3 Timer Ball: The engine of this deck. From limited testing, this gets my setup going a lot quicker and more consistently than PFC ever did. I believe this is the future for most stage two decks. The counts of each can be adjusted for best fit, as those are not set and stone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRATEGY: By now most of you should know how this deck works, but here's the basic idea.
Build up Decidueyes, keep spreading damage around with their ability, and set up knockouts for Zoroark-GX. Guzma, Mount Lanakila, along with other cards help us manipulate our opponent and achieve this goal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POSSIBLE OTHER CARDS:
Tapu Koko (PROMO): More spread damage for just a DCE, and free retreat. Generally a great card to have in this deck, but first, I need to find the room for two. Playing one isn't worth it to me.
Latios (SHL): Another great attacker for just a DCE. Hits the active and the bench, and hits Buzzwoles for weakness.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once again, suggestions are encouraged, as this list is far from complete.
Thanks!
