if you look around ebay long enough you'll find cheap price for the cards you need and you can always make offers with the sellers.
If your just going to spend the price people set and not bother to look for cheap price. then yes that deck going to expensive.
*Luxary x is such an expensive card. that it's not worth buying in my opinion. the card alone can make a full low tier deck.
and pokemon one of the cheapest tcg. Compare to other tcg out there. 999$ yugioh card Q_Q or like magic.
Actually yugioh is far less expensive than Pokemon or MTG.

sablock (which I am currently running) costs like $120 I think. cursegar as about $250
yeah or those misprinted first tourney ever tropical dealeys that are like 6K
Cursegar is far less expensive than Sablock.
Sablock is 150$ assuming you buy every card without trading. On average you can pick it up for around 80$ assuming you buy packs and trade for everything else.
The most expensive card in Cursegar is the Lv.X which is 10$. you could probably make the deck for around 50~80$

compare to pokemon to yugioh.
search "dark end dragon" on ebay.
lux g is a joke to it Lol.
Dark End Dragon is also an optional card that's arguably only viable in two decks which don't have the space to run it in the first place.
Luxray GL Lv. X is a card that single-handedly dictates what is, and is not tournament viable.

whoever is saying sabledonk is 80, or even saying more than 80,I built mine for 50 bucks. It ain't hard to build decks on a budget.
to make an optimal build you're going to be spending over 100$.
4 Sableye is going to run you 15
1 Toxicroak is going to run you 25
4 Cyrus is going to run you 20
4 Turns are going to run you 20
Thats 80$ for 13 cards in the deck.
Take into account that the only cards you're arguably going to get away with not spending money on are the basic energy and special darkness, you're looking at at least another 50$ cumulatively on the rest of the cards. Even if each card individually is somewhere between 1~3$ it adds up since its a 60-card deck.
