'Primal Clash' Theme Deck, Booster Pack Images + Mega Diancie-EX Premium Collection [11/29]

Hopefully the Kyogre and Groudon will be as good as their XY counterparts, Xerneas and Yveltal, in the XY base set. They were really good non-EX basics.
 
No real surprises here as far as I'm concerned. It was a toss up between either Kyogre/Groudon theme decks or somehow doing the starters with the theme deck. Figured regardless we'd have regular versions to go with the EX and the Primal EX's.

Regarding the packs, it seems that this will be the first time we have all 'megas' for artwork. History shows that M. Gardevoir and M. Aggron are most likely the other two pack arts. Granted to be fair the game works the two primals differently from the megas, but none the less every set prior to had the megas as pack artwork.
 
These ancient trait pokemon card layout doesn't give you the feeling they are real pokemon card, even though some do look good.
 
Digging the artwork from this set, and I'm pretty sure the theme decks are called Omega Pulse and Alpha Core.
 
As I said in my post, Mega Aggron and Mega Gardevoir are virtually and historically basically guaranteed. I don't even think we'll see Latios and Latias in this set. I would think they would be saved for something later on, probably even their own 'set'. In fact considering they have Mega evolutions I find it very likely they won't be in Primal Clash.

However if I'm wrong I hope they are at least psychic types rather than dragon, at least regularly. The EX's/megas are almost guaranteed to be dragons
 
I couldn't imagine any artwork on these packs that would be as good as the Japanese artwork for Groudon and Kyogre so glad they used it.

That Mega Diancie is going to be difficult, it won't be on sale but without a mat and with just 6 packs will it still be as much as the Mega Metagross?

I only bought the Metagross box because it was marked down to 32. But if this box is 60 bucks also(With less packs) I may have to skip it.

In terms of pack art I could them not putting Mega Aggron on the cover, it's kind of a boring Pokemon artwise.
 
If you look at the top left corner of the decks, you can see that there is a PTCGO logo but it is vastly different from the one we have now. Huge new update?

It's been like this since XY base set.
 
Looking at these product images is like getting a wrong answer in "You Don't Know Jack!". In both cases, I part ways with my cash.
 
Groudon and Kyogre will most likely be really good. Though, since they are Theme Deck promos, Primal Clash will probably only feature those cards as non-holo rares.
 
So Groudon and Kyogre will take up 10 cards of this set if you include spirit link cards of theirs. If not (and I don't think there is going to be) then there are 8 cards with either of Kyogre or Groudon in their name. We wait, what is it, ten more days to find out what is in this set.

I think we are still missing one more EX card in this set. We're meant to have 12 EX cards. I have a feeling it will be a fire type, It better not be Pyroar EX, rather Arcanine EX.
 
I hope there's at least 1 Gen 1 Ex/Full Art in every XY set. Arcanine would be cool, it would have to be one without a mega form, so Ninetales, Arcanine, Vileplume, Poliwrath, Snorlax, Wigglytuff, Jynx....
 
Here are my assumptions on EX's from Gaia Volcano and Tidal Storm:

Gaia Volcano

-Primal Groudon-EX

-M. Aggron-EX

-Wailord-EX

-A Fire Type EX, presumably Arcanine-EX, Ninetales-EX, Pyroar-EX, or Torkoal-EX.


Tidal Storm

-Primal Kyogre-EX

-M. Gardevoir-EX

-Trevenant-EX

-A Dark Type EX, presumably Cacturne-EX or Mightyena-EX,
 
The presumable fire type could be just about anything. If you consider Skarmory and Emolga, I would say it's possible that it could be Simisear EX just as easily. I suppose Torkoal EX could be just as random too.

I hope the Dark type EX is Pangoro EX.

We should know in a couple weeks at the latest though.
 
I had heard somewhere that the M. Diancie EX premium collection and the Gallade EX box had been moved to February. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
