So basically Because it requires 4 energy's you are basically making a groudon tank that can take a few hits then do some damage

I'm sorry it took so long for someone to help you, but first of all, ditch both Hawluchas, they can't attack non-EXs, so they are practically useless, and put 4 Wobbuffet, because you really want to start with him .I would help you more, but I feel like the only way to help you would to give you a list. comment back and I'll give you one.

yes agree with gumball51321, as Groudon EX OHKO everything, the Hawlucha does nothing. i have been using the same deck with the exception of some trainers in the last year. when we face Regice, its autoloss, especially if there's no bench pokemon left. Nothing to be Lysandre, can't be Hex maniac

Thanks Guy :D

Well, there's my list. it may seem weird to play jirachi, Pal Pad, and Parallel City, but they are techs that can REALLY help against unfavorable matchups. Something else I came up with is keeping a handful of cards in your binder, like in the back, and then scout out what other people are playing to prepare by switching techs to help fight those matchups.
Some cards I would personally keep for these kinds of situations are: Focus Sash, a second Hex Maniac, a fourth Mega Turbo, etc. Just whatever feels comfortable when doing so. I really hope I helped you people and good luck guys.

I've played a Primal Groudon/Wobbuffet deck in a couple tournaments I've gone to. This is my list:

Pokémon:
  • 3 Primal Groudon EX
  • 3 Groudon EX
  • 3 Wobbuffet
  • 3 Hawlucha
Supporters/Trainers/Stadiums:
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 1 Judge
  • 2 Professor Birch's Observations
  • 3 Korrina
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 1 Xerosic
  • 1 Pokémon Center Lady
  • 1 Cassius
  • 1 Hex Maniac
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Mega Turbo
  • 1 Professor's Letter
  • 1 Super Rod
  • 1 Robo Substitute
  • 2 Float Stone
  • 2 Focus Sash
  • 1 Weakness Policy
  • 1 Hard Charm
  • 2 Silent Lab
  • 1 Fighting Stadium
  • 1 Shrine of Memories
Energy:
  • 4 Strong Energy
  • 7 Fighting Energy
As I said before, I have used this deck in the previous tournaments I have gone to, and I have been pretty successful. Your list is pretty good, but there are just a few things I would change.

As I said before, primal groudon ohkos everything, so hawlucha has basically no purpose. And you need more than 2 mega turbo to be successful in this new format to keep up with other stuff. And porkchop, your list autolosses regice, that being said, I feel like my deck would be better for an anti meta kind of deck. But even that being said, jirachi in my list alone, will make me beat you in a 1 v. 1 battle.

When you say that Primal Groudon ohkos everything, that is true. Most of the time. I recently went to Cities, and I played the same deck that I have listed. I played a Giratina EX deck, and the only reason I won was because I had Hawlucha. If I did not have Hawlucha, I would have lost. Also, paired with a Silent Lab, Hawlucha is a faster way to deal damage to lightning types, and when paired with a Focus Sash, Hawlucha is especially deadly. It will deal at least 120 damage for one energy, being able to survive any two hits, no matter the damage.

I don't think I understand the question. So, your asking if you should play it like you want wobbuffet to die, and if that doesn't work, groudon should take a couple hits? If that's the question, then you should let wobbuffet die until groudon is set up and don't sent it up until you know it wil be that same turn. And porkchop, that's where good play testing comes in. I previously played a similar deck I listed, and I played the list based around beating the deck, which played 2 hex maniac and other junk. I'll talk more in a couple days, because I'm currently out of town, and using my mom's phone right now, and I don't have my computer with me.

Ok, I'm back from out of town, and I'm going to discuss why I was basically able to beat Giratina/ Vileplume. I wasn't able to win in a league challenge against it, but if I had survived one more turn, my opponent would have decked out. Oddly enough, I faced my opponent's little brother in the round after that, and the exact same situation happened, except my prizes were exactly what I needed and I couldn't get set up at all. Like I said a while back, if you can scout out the competition, you'll know what techs to play. So if Giratina/ Seismitoad or Giratina/ Vileplume were popular, you would know to play 2 Hex Maniac. And if Vespiquen were popular, play 2 Focus Sash and 2 Bunnelby, as well as 4 Wobbuffet. Another good tech for Giratina/ Vileplume is Pal Pad. I know your thinking: PAL PAD??, WHAT? But it can help get back things like Xerosic and Hex Maniac to be able to basically cripple your opponent to the point of running away to different things. To deal with Regice, just play Jirachi and Xerosic, and of course, the 4/1 split of VS Seeker and Pal Pad. Late game, when decks are getting thin, use Bunnelby to deck your opponent out, but if the situation is where YOU have less cards, or can't win without an impossible late game Groudon set up, just get the stuff to scrounge up a Groudon to finish the job. If there's anyone else who want to argue, or has any more great ideas( or at least interesting), feel free to comment, I'm open to all ideas.
